while i know there has been plenty debate about the subject of super mario maker, its probably one of the best things mario released in my opinion. yeah, we have the two 'hard modes' (expert and super expert) flooded with trolls and kaizo stuff, most likely not how nintendo intended for these dificulties to be (but possibly and likely expected on their end regardless), but ive also seen some quality stages that were fun and had a fair beatable challenge. garbage aside, i personally loved mario maker and seeing a switch release would be exciting to me. plus, its fun being able to make your own level without being told how to do it, even if people might say things like this an that isnt how you do mario levels, theres really no right or wrong way, even if some tactics may not be ideal to some people (that will be so no matter what, most likely. not everyone agrees with each other).

So, any other fans here hoping for this? I know I am heh :p

Its not happening, the lack of a stylus and dual screen system makes it hard to implement. The stylus doesn't even work on the Switch and using your fingers to accurately build is difficult. It won't work in practicality. Even if the game was ported the experience won't be good as the dual screen concept that the Wii u and 3ds had (Wii u was the best on that obviously).

This and smash are probably the last 2 games I think I want ported to the switch from Wii U. It's looking not so likely, and if 2019 comes and goes without them then you can probably assume they won't happen... At least 3ds got it!

I think that it could work as a port but the experience really wouldn't be the same.

I totally agree. The Wii U did this so well. They'd have to change how the entire game worked if it went on the Switch and then it might as well be a whole different game.

I am not super excited to have super mario maker on the switch, let´s not forget that we have in for the nintendo wii u and the nintendo 3ds! But this is not the main reason why I am not super excited for this game, which I know it is a great game and I have played it a lot on my wii u, is the fact that I don´t want to over touch my switch´s screen. I know what you think, man you should get a screen protector, but I usually play my switch on table top or handheld mode and it would be a shame to clean it up every time i finish playing my game.
