So, mewtwo is "pretty much done" according to sakurai so do you think mewtwo will be really op, really bad, or just right?, compared to melee version of him?

He really wasn't that big of a deal in Melee. He had a lot of potential, though and his design was awesome (I mean...it's Mewtwo for Pete's sake). I just hope they amp him up a bit in this game. I mean, I hope he isn't broken beyond belief or anything...just hope he's a stable character who's fun to use.

I hope he's pretty good. He should be good enough so that people will use him with interesting moves but not too good that he gets op. He has the honor of being the first downloadable content character ever introduced in smash so pretty sure nintendo will make him good :p

I wasn't really a huge fan of Mewtwo in melee. when brawl came out, I actually thought he was a copy so it was ok. after playing brawl and 4 more, i found they were actually kinda different.

But honestly, i don't think he'll be broken or anything. He has to be good to match the hype but not anything crazy.

I wonder what his Final Smash will be? Not a fan of mega evo or transforming final smashes

I think that Mewtwo will be broken I mean he has a warp as his save he has confusion which is OP and a great attack because it stuns the opponents and they cant move then he knows shadow ball which I bet will be one of his spammed moves of course I cannot remember his last move though but basically he will be like an OP combination of Palutena Zero Suit Samus and Lucario all in one pinkish purplish Over Powered package.

I think that this character will be extremely very dangerous and I don't think st all that he will be a weak character . Who knows if they changed his movesets into OP ones and we'll just never know . I know that a fact that Mewtwo will be a powerful opponent and I don't think that it will be dissatisfying .

Compared to Melee ? Well I guess it will be the same as all other characters : He'll have completely useless hits but a recovery that allows him to never die.

See for example how Jig's Rest does nothing (it used to be able to KO a Falco at 0%), same for Falcon's Knee, even worse for Falco's down air (which used to be the most OP move in all Smash but is now completely pointless). Etc.

And see how Fox's Illusion doesn't leave him helpless, allowing him to do another Illusion and even a FireFox to come back on stage from almost anywhere (as long as he is not out already). And see how Falco's recovery no longer is half Fox's recovery. Etc.

Mewtwo imo seems like the same tier as Ness. His quick and good ranged moves are weak (or hard to hit) and his close range moves/grabs are really strong and can KO easily (or they are weak and fast like neutral air). Mewtwo will be the character that takes risks to get a kill but can deal damage quickly with tilts and up airs. His only disadvantage would be his speed and size.

I think he will be a truly strong character, but not excactly broken. And even if he is weak, he will probably be used a lot anyway because he is a dlc character, and players wanna show off. I think he will keep some moves from melee, but not all since Lucario kind of copied some of his moves.

I think he'll play differently than how he did in melee. If he is the same than he'll be really similar to Lucario. He has a lot of potential to be great. His final smash will probably be a mega evolution which stinks because I hate transformations except Zelda and Sheik. I miss that combo.

I think he will be really good seeing as he is a dlc character, but he may be like gamondorf as in really strong but very slow or a speed attacker or a spammer, but I think a spammer is more likely. I hope his final smash won't be a mega evolution like noodlejere said because it barely lasts for any time.

I hope he's not a clone. :panda:

I feel like they'll use the same moveset they did in the old games, but add some touches to it. Just for the fans. :p

I think mewtwo will be amazing in 4 and it wont be a clone because then it would take less time to make but i think mewtwo will be amazing because he is a pokemon and he is in smash

I don't think Mewtwo will be broken. he looks like a fun to use character. I just hope he won't be a clone

I highly doubt they'd make a paid character suck. He's probably gonna be high tier-ish and pretty good. But who knows, he might be an Olimar? But his reveal trailer made him look so good... Is it me, or did he have an air-grab? Anyways, yeah, he'll probably be good because he's paid.

There's always going to be some bugs involved with fresh characters. Someone will eventually find the bug/glitch, record their findings on YouTube, Nintendo will see it then develop a patch or tune-up for a future Smash update.

That was Mewtwo's side special in Melee. It appears like it works like a footstool but we cant be fore certain yet. Mewtwo's other skin in the trailer (a darker purple? with a grey tail) looks neat too so hopefully they make more major skins changes and not minor ones. Maybe he'll have a GB skin like Kirby and King Dedede.

I seriously doubt he'll be broken. He was revealed in October, which mean he has had at least half a year of development. During that time, Im sure the kinks have been worked out and he has been balanced as to not make him weak or overpowered. Compared to Melee, I think he'll be better, and I think many of moves have been powered up or have added effects.

Impossible. Every veteran from Melee was considerably weakened in Sm4sh to have approximately the same level as other characters from Sm4sh so if Mewtwo is better than in Melee, he'll be overpowered compared to other Sm4sh characters.

Hmm, I guess so, Im not too sure on the technicality of Melee, since I havent played it in years.
