How can I open up my own Pokemon Gym?

I made Resetti's Bad list.

I have tons of Pokemon. And I would like to create a Gym. How can I get around to doing this on 3ds pedia?
 
Ask @Marc if he would allow another League. I would support you in that.
 
You just have to believe!!!!! Like this one time, I knew a guy who didn't think he could be a ballerina. But I told him, "you just have to believe!!!!". And he was so encouraged that he signed up for varsity ballerina try outs. He saw the compeition and knew it would be fierce, but with my encouragement, and his dreams of being as graceful of a ballerina as Tom Brady and Chris Pratt, he got up and twirled around the stage and tripped, broke his legs, and was told he would never be able to walk again, let alone be a ballerina. He now spends all of his days staring out a window crying to himself. And that's why you should believe, but not believe too much, or you'll never be able to walk again.

You'd have to wait until there's an opening for a gym leader (i.e if a current one retires due to inactivity for example), and @Marc then announces that there is an available spot. You'd have to be tested by him and/or @paceygym to see if you're good enough. If you're successful, you get the purple gym leader ribbon and you create a gym thread for challenges (think of themes and rules beforehand of course).

I'm not sure if there's still an opening (there was recently though), perhaps Marc or Pacey can advise you on this.

No, just me. @Marc is to Lazy busy for people, we have tryouts open right now actually/
