Google was no help so I'll ask in detail:

How do we change the default battle settings in Smash 3D? I know this can happen because my default settings got messed up; only one character is included in Smash mode so I have to insert two more manually every time. Plus it's cumbersome to pick Stock every time because who battles in Time, right? So I need to change my default battle settings to stuff that suits me but can't find out how.

Any help would be much appreciated :cat:

Sorry to ruin your hopes but u can't change the default settings. The rules u wish for may be done manually.
Btw what do u mean by getting messed up and only having 1 character being included.

Awww.

It means I changed the settings once and they got saved like that, I don't know how. Now when I go to the character select screen, there's only 1 CPU character inserted at the start instead of 2, which it used to be.

Really?
That's weird.
I'm not sure what that's about.
But I'm with you, i tried to find a way to set the default settings but found out from experience and from many other people that it isn't possible.

Danganabbit, maybe it's just a random change in the game from one setting. Oh well, thanks anyway :)

I know the game saves the last skin you use for a character but not the match settings, except I'm not sure about items/random stage settings. It's usually set up to face a Lv. 3 CPU (it's 1 but was 2 before the update) in a 2 minute match. I don't find that much trouble in switching the settings every time but this could change in a patch, no matter how unlikely.

Sadly there isn't a way to save those permanently. I know, sucks, but it is what it is. At least the 3DS version saves the skin you used last, the Wii U version always leaves it on the default skin (not that it's an issue or anything). I know the rules set once stays until you exit the game.

I am afraid that you cannot do that. I'm sorry man, but at least but I'm sure you can change everything else pertaining to your question. The 3ds's memory can save the default skin tho. And also, this also pertains to the Wii u as well. So that shouldn't be a problem.

Yea it sucks you cant . But you can change anything and everything else well not everything just dont want to to feel down in the dump lol. This goes the same way with the super smash bros 4 wiiu version
