I know when you play with friends, their Inkling/Octoling will appear in your square. I see some other players in the square with posts of drawings. I assume they show up there because of the amount of "yeahs" they got or they were people who you played with in turf/ranked matches.

I have this feeling new posts don't show up in the square. There are thousands of Splatoon 2 players but I normally see a specific set of posts every time I visit the square, and it seems like other people see the same drawings at the time too.

I just want confirmation from someone who knows how the system works.

From what I've seen, you need a Twitter/Facebook account to post drawings in the second game. It's not like the first one, which used Miiverse. Most of Splatoon 2's players don't have these accounts.

I know how to post pics haha. I want to know how the system works for it to show up for others in the square.

I know that posts with alot of likes on Twitter show up more in the game, but I can’t really be sure about anything. Anyone that you played wih can show up in the lobby, and considering that some posts are kinda trash that i see, you probably occasionally see posts from people you play with.

Nintendo might also occasionally choose some posts they like to feature in the lobby for everyone

What's the point of using Twitter's likes when you can "yeah" a post in the game? Or does a "yeah" convert into a "like" where the Nintendo app auto-likes the post?
