I was wondering if any of you guys hold your 3DS or 3DS XL in any special way when playing certain games?

People call me a freak for holding my 3DS like this, but it's pretty comfy :p

no not really I just hold it upright when playing a game only when I draw or something I put the screen down because it is in my way when drawing.Sometimes I have to put the screen in a certain position as well as the 3ds when playing some particular games.

I usuaally just hold it the regualar way or the kid icarus controls way.

I don't hold my 3ds, I have telikenisis so I levatate it and reform gravity to push buttons and stuff.
It's sciencs biz, low lives like you couldn't understand the true form of a human being

I just lay it flat down. I used to hold it on my lap, but now I hold it a little ways away from my lap. I never liked it when the screen was up, I always like it when it's as down as it can go. It's more visible that way for me.

Wow, I tried to hold it like that, and it was uncomfortable for me
I hold the 3DS like a regular handheld, both hands on it, index fingers on L/R buttons, heel of palm on the corner of the 3DS XL. Most comfortable position for me.

I use my hands and hold the 3ds.( is that good enough)? Just like @AliTheAce said I hold it like that way. Any other way is not comfortable and hurts my palms.

I hold my 2ds one way. I have a small hand so I can't do anything else. >.> basically palms behind both sides ,pointing finger in the back, and moved on to L /R button when needed. :) I don't usually hold it upright, usually downward . :)

Mostly I don't hold my nintendo I keep at certain place and then simply sit there and use my stylus because sometimes I feel too lazy to hold my nintendo.

I usually hold the 3ds regularly with just my thumbs on the 3ds and the fingers behind the system . But now I put my index fingers on the LR buttons due to playing many games that require the LR buttons and now it is that natural for me to do that . I also play Kid Icarus : Uprising and hold the 3ds that way so I get a more comfortable grip . Anywho , people shouldn't be calling you a freak

I keep my thumbs over the D-pad and X/Y/A/B buttons, my pointer fingers on the L & R buttons, and the rest behind my 3DS. I hold it that way no matter what game I'm playing, except when using the stylus.

I hold mine firmly in my hands, just in level with my face so I can play it normally. It's a compact handheld so why lay it on a table or on your lap? xD

my fingers are in close reach of the L/R buttons, ready to use when needed of course! :D

Sometimes I put mine on the table and press the buttons (when playing pokemanz)

For games that require me to constantly press stuff (smash Ki:U) I hold it normally, and a little close to my face with my tongue sticking out a little. :p

I don't really hold it in any special way. Right hand holding it, left hand holding the stylus. If I'm playing a game without stylus controls I generally keep my fingers on the LR buttons (not sure if that's a thing some people don't do, I feel like it is).

I chew my stylus hard it's disgustin

I attach the kinect camera to my 3ds and have programmed it in such a way that it converts my hand actions into the signal of pressing buttons. Its fun! really! Try it!

Lol just kidding :D I hold it the normal way :D
