Still annoyed...
Towns Folk
NL is my first Animal Crossing game. I really love it but I have so many issues with it.

-Time based stores; I can't really play when I want or when I can, I have to play depending on the time of the day and I don't really like playing with my clock on my console.
-Once you start to play, you HAVE to keep on playing otherwise your town will get messed up, and you might lose villagers (I lost Hamlet that way sniff).
-Multiplayer is scary, when you open your gates it's sort of a leap of faith and you hope nothing will get broken, so I just never do multiplayer.
-Everything is based on seasons, and each time I get tired around winter because... I live in Canada and really don't need more snow errr!

But still, I LOVE the game, I just can't stand it on a long run, how do you manage? =( I have so many games to play!

When Isabella shows up on the screen, choose the other option instead of starting the game and you can set the time for the New Leaf clock. It does not affect your console's time.

I changed my town ordinance to beautiful town to reduce the number of weeds that appear due to my inactivity in the game .-.

If you don't feel like removing randoms from your friend list, you can visit your friends' towns and add them as a "best friend". Whenever you open your gate, you can allow only your best friends to visit your town.

Pfft, you're lucky :wacky: No snow here, unfortunately ;-;

Also, something to point out with multiplayer. I recommend playing with a lot of people, you dont have to worry about people wrecking your town. Usually everyone is nice and won't wreck it. But there are those people you do and when they are wrecking your town or doing something that's bothering you, just flip the wireless switch on your 3DS. Nothing they did will be there ;) Hope this helps!

Yeah all your comments help, I'll need to get back into it! Marc it's a nice tip for the clock than you! I'm already in Bwautiful Town but it doesn't solve my villagers hating me XD

Just do favors for your villagers, and send them letters, and they'll like you very much, very fast. They'll also start to give you more things once they like you more. Especially when you send a letter of 2-3 lines or more, with an attachment, then they'll send a letter and a present back! :)

I wanted to get back at Animal Crossing, but then Fantasy Life happened, I'll have to put it on hold ;___;

Yeah multiplayer can be pretty scary because you don't know if that person will wreck your town. But there is always a solution to each problem. If you're going to play multiplayer with someone. take the time to save first before letting them in, then if they were to ever wreck your town or something you can just shut wifi off and your gameplay before wont be effected. i hope this helps. Have fun in Animal crossing! it's one of my favorite games to play on my free time.

I'm just like you, I don't trust multiplayer but these tips sure do help :)
