I do see a lot of people playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf. I have seeen a few videos, but I did not see any aspect that appealed like a lot of fun to me, like Pokemon X/ Zelda Link Between Worlds did to me.
The question is, what is the really fun part of Animal Crossing New Leaf? Is it like Harvest Moon in a few ways or is it completley different? People are selling in game items and that looks like cool stuff.
If you list some points out, I might consider getting the game sometime :D

This game does many things great, and it really is fun, but I wouldn't suggest you buy it. The game gets so boring it's ridiculous. That and, if you don't play every day your town starts hating you. It's all a big chore and when you could buy XY instead, this game is terrible in comparison.

It is really fun and endless! Animal crossing new leaf isn't just a video game, it is also a virtual life! you are basically the mayor of town which you can name yourself! You can make your house look awesome and even make yourself look awesome, you can donate fossils to the museum, you can sell items at shops like re-tail (an in game shop) and you can do a lot more!

Building up your town and collecting things is very addictive! Its the sort of game that for the first month you own it you'll play every day. In time it can get boring, but I disagree that the town hates you - this version is much better in that regard when compared to the prior entries - its more of a 'we missed you' response. I play it once a week or so, and will do so for the life of the 3DS. Comparing this to Pokemon or Zelda is apples and oranges as they are very different games. But in terms of amount of gameplay per cost, Animal Crossing is a no brainer. If you like Harvest Moon, Animal Crossing has some similarities, but it is much less rigid in how you use your time. It leaves you to your own devices.

Oh yes. I did make a good decision of not to buy it before Pokemon X. i might look into considering buying this game some time later on.
