I've seen gameplay and streams of the characters but I want to know from you guys experience what are the characters like.
I'm trying to earn to get the characters now so I can be able to play and main some.
Give me your thoughts!

Well.... Roy is OP and Ryu has more combo potential than Mario... Plus he has like 12 attacks.

I don't see Ryu having more combo potential than Mario, but Roy is definitely very good, or at least, more fun than Marth, imo.

Roy is good if you like fighting up close, he draws power at the base of his sword which is completely opposite from Marth who uses the tip. Roy is great, but Ryu from what I heard is a fun house. You get to explore a bunch of moves coming from just one character. The different techniques that he could do seem potentially endless. Ryu seems like he'll take a lot if time to learn.

They did an incredible job making ryu feel like the ryu of super street fighter 4. Making ryu have the quarter circle moves like in street fighter is pretty fun. My only fear now is that my circle pad will break in seconds

Roy is amazing. He's basically Marth + Ike. Since he draws power at the base, it's a lot more simple than trying to go for the tip. Plus, his meteors are much more easier to land in my opinion. Ryu, although I don't have him, looks very hard to play competitively. Although, he is a very fun character to mess around and test with. He has amazing combos and very strong attacks, and if pulled off right, can be deadly.

I honestly do not know how these characters play since I don't have the DLC yet. It seems that Roy is a heavy character and also slow but has good attack power. Ryu looks like a very hard character to use because of all the combos and different attack patterns, but it looks like Street Fighter pros can easily main him.

Ok i have to say roy is extremely good. I haven't downloaded his dlc but i went to for glory yesterday. I played with mario and roy Had been both powerful and very good at comboing and recovered from moved really quick. And roy was hard to combo on as well.
Ryu i haven't played nor battled but from looking at the trailer he seems extremely complicated, is he?
But I'm convinced that whoever were to master, they would be an incredible player

Ryu and Roy are both definitely good in many aspects . Roy is definitely a lot more easier to play and deal damage with more damage being dealt at the base of the sword and Ryu has many combos to proc when used correctly so I'd say both are very good :p
