How I learn characters.

So people wonder how I can play so many characters in smash bros. I simply tell them, "because I feel like it." What I mean by this is that k choose a character I seem interested in, and just try random combos from other characters I know. For some this works like Mario and Yoshi. Others I train and find moves with the less lag in between. That's why I hardly use pk fire with ness since I use his nair like how I use Roy's nair. And then there are characters like DHD, Pac, and Ryu (who I regret buying) who no matter how much I play with them I can't play them for match quality. So tell me how you choose characters to play as in smash and maybe I'll give you a list of the characters I can play

heh, thats just like me, me and my mates always played Melee back in the day, and we would play SO many games, at one point, we didn't know what to pick, so it was Random all day XD

I always go down the row of characters and play as them and see which character feels natural to play as. I am great with Link, Pit, Pikachu (it was Squirtle and Ivysaur until they left the game).
