How long does it take to beat Octopath Traveler?

I've been hearing A LOT about Octopath Traveler lately. Some people said it's a beautiful game and how they really loved it and others have said it wasn't worth the $60 price tag.

I have still yet to try the demo but I'm too lazy to try, especially with Splatoon 2

I'm wondering how long it will take to beat Octopath Traveler. Does the game have enough gameplay hours to keep someone occupied?

If you 100% percent it, probably about a month or two. I didn't get this game so idk.

To finish the main adventure in a straight line, to see the end of the game and the credits, you will need about 40 to 50 hours of play, depending on how you play and your ability to overcome Octopath Traveler’s most difficult battles. In addition, to complete Octopath Traveler in its entirety with all its secondary quests you will need at least 80 hours of play, you can even push the adventure up to 100 hours if you really target 100%.

Seems to be the same as this around the internet. Between 30-50 hours to beat the story, then 80-100 to 100%.

Either way, I'm still gonna be picking this up whenever I can because I adored the demos and love the art style <3
