as you may know Mario has a deadly combo witch can get a person from 0% to 85% and maybe kill. if you don't know what Mario deadly combos are than its like this like spaming Mario up punch than using Mario up air than jumping off more platforms and spaming Mario up air then using Mario up b when your at the top of the screen it should be able to air dodge but big characters like donkey kong and bowser and jiggypuff cant do it in time so an up b or down b should the trick but if it does not DI away form platforms

That combo is not a true combo, any character can get out of it by either DI, Air Dodge, or Attacking (for most characters like Luigi, use Nair). The only true part is down throw into up tilts, the rest can be avoided much easily. It's not deadly either because Mario's Up B isn't as strong as Dr. Marios (if it was then I'd be scared :panda: ) so don't fret over that too much

yeah it just has a 60 chance of kill if Mario can get on platform like dreamland platforms

The combo isn't deadly. DI and nair are the ways to go, and this is just a way to tell the skill of a Mario, since it is the only combo they know.

While it isn't a true combo.. it is very formidable.

There are various ways throughout the combo to reduce the chances of all hits connecting.

First:

Once grabbed, just hold down shield. Heavy characters and fast fallers will land on their feet on the ground very quickly and you will have time to shield before they can up tilt after their downthrow. Wait for the uptilt to connect, then either grab them or roll out.

Second:

Assuming you've been hit with the uptilt, some characters like Dark Pit and Zero Suit can jump out if carefully timed. However, most can't escape, try and DI out anyway.

Third:

They're now Up Airing you. If you're lucky it's on FD where there are no platforms, you'd go up to around 67%. However, if there are platforms, DI away from them, it will prevent Mario from landing on platforms to allow him to perform more up airs.

Fourth:

Assuming you're now at the top of the screen and the last option for Mario is to connect an Up B to attempt to hit you through the roof, try to DI down and away from the Mario, as it will make it more difficult for the Mario to UpB into you, as well as giving you more time to react (preferably with an air dodge or a spacing move like neutral air depending on the character).

I would get Corrin and use down b to counter his attack.

Since it's not a true combo, you can get out of it using DI or your N-Air. Your airdodge could work when combined with DI. If you're using Marth, Shulk, Lucina, or anyone else with a counter, you could try using that, too. Another option is to be Link/Toon Link and spam your arrows.

no one like someone who does that\

well simple, if your link, throw your boomerang and shot arrows. always throw your boomerang and then immediately use your bow, if he sends your arrow coming back at you, the boomerang will cancel them both out. slowly advance while doing this. when you are in really close, if the mario turns you around with his swipe move, down+a him and he will be sent flying. when he starts to come back up, time it right and side a him and it may be a KO. If not, wait till he comes back up, time it right, and then up+b him, but spin on the ground and not the air. Rinse and repeat and you should be fine.

"Big characters like donkey kong, bowser, jigglypuff"

Jigglypuff

But in all seriousness, only way to avoid mario's easy bake combos are simply un plug your wii u, buy every mario amiibo, and put it in a flaming blender then proceed to flush down a toilet.

Light flying character can escape for example kirby and jigglypuff. If your character is a projectile character for example link and Samus just spam your missile arrow when you think mario is coming. I'm too lazy to list all the character but when you predict mario is going for a grab dodge and use a quick attack

Not getting grabbed in the first place is a good way

Also DIing is good too

Or... you know... actually having the controller in your hands while you are playing is a good way

Wait, what? *Writes down notes* The only true combo part is the down-throw to up-tilt (^ + A). He cant really kill with that combo, especially since not every stage has platforms and the combo itself doesnt have good knockback. Like most others said, DIing or attacking him is your best option.

i've been hit by worse than this. i ran into somebody who kept using some kind of down spike that was like always a 1-hit kill. but even this didnt work anymore on me the second battle, cuz i just pick bayonetta and either dodge or down b to go into witch time. it gets easy to predict after a while, on the upside.

Pretty sure you mean this move. It has a special property called a Meteor Smash that when hit correctly will bring the opponent downwards. These are usually pretty easy to dodge

Them combos, they's hard to dodge. >x<

Seriously though, I'm more troubled as-in annoyed by spammers than actually troubled in a battle with them.
When that pattern emerges, and I see it and exploit it, they don't think much farther than the initial pattern they cooked up before the fight.

I need a real fight.

yes, thats the one. the only reason i lost the battle was because i was testing a different character, just for fun, so i wasnt very familiar with the combos and all. i ended up decided to use my best character, which is bayonetta. the same person was in the next fight and i won, but of course he kept trying to do that (only got me once this time, though; last time got me 3 times). and since i knew his strategy it got easy to predict.
