How to earn play coins effectively?

I like this whole idea of earning coins for posting, and would still post even if you didn't earn anything, but I don't see how you can earn 300 coins in a week, as many members claim to do, which is evident by their amount of play coins. I already earned 5 play coins by posting, but I was wondering if their was any faster way.

Trading in the Nookling Junction, that's a popular method. Lots of members set up shops for game services or GFX work, like Pokemon breeding/training services, Animal Crossing items, designing avatars and signatures for other members for Play Coins. etc.
