How to KO Kirby easy in Smash Bros. for 3DS / Wii U

kirby is one of those caracter that cant be ko eazily without being launched up and off the screen but here some tips on how to ko him eazily tip 1 do not let him get you into the air because kirby air game is awesome tip 2 spam smash attack then up smash so you can kill him from the top tip 3use someone who has decent air game so when he get you into the air you can stand a fighting change
 
Um, the best way to approach a Kirby is using someone that has super powerful attacks, someone like Ganondorf who can easily send Kirby flying. Kirby gets it the worst from heavy characters since they don't fly off so easily, Ganondorf again easily counters Kirby. Even if Kirby goes in the air Ganon can still use up air to catch him. Plus Kirby has only 5 floats so you can catch him while he's landing. Kirby doesn't purely rely on air btw, spamming smashes isn't going to help since the ending lag can get easily punished.
 
Well , I can say that Kirby isn't exactly the best when it comes to heavy Smash attacks and up Smash attacks can really be quite useful when Kirby is in the air so I can't really argue with your tips :thumbsup: So mostly more offensive characters are a good approach in my opinion :p

Get Kirby after it has "exhausted" its breathe so it can jump/fly anymore. Then, you can knock Kirby off so far using a knock back move so it can't come back and its gets OK'ed. Projectiles are best so you don't get hit and then die instead of Kirby being knockbacked. :p
 
As a Kirby main I see you all fail to neglect the fact his down special renders him invincible in the air. A Kirby does not just simply exhaust it's jumps and land without an attack. Kirby usually down specials at this point,so do a barrel roll to the left or the right and grab him quickly while he's still in rock form, then throw him. This is the best way to beat a Kirby.

But then there's me who falls doing a down air instead of down b which if done correctly can combo into a down smash, then what are you to do?
 
Great tip's! When i fight a kirby player i use a heavy fighter or jigglypuff (who is awesome with his air game) and usually i get the kill...If i don't that's when i die.....and does this happen to u guy's? when a Kirby suck's you up and just jump's off the stage? When your little mac i rage! ._.
 
You can
  • Pressure Kirby when he's in the air more notably after a throw into a combo like with Diddy or Luigi. Kirby's down b takes a while for him to become invincible so get him before the transformation to negate it and cover him with your best aerials.
  • Punish stone by attempting to grab but if you predict an end in the transformation you can go for a Smash attack/air attack depending on where he's at
  • Kirby has no projectiles so use projectiles on him. He has no options to counter it and will be forced to approach.
  • d-tilt on inhale
But seriously there never needed to be a thread about this. Anyone can beat Kirby unless they're bad at Smash.
No such thing as a good Kirby. Send him to bottom tier!

Kirby is a pretty easy character to defeat in my opinion. I have a friend who mains Kirby and usually spams the down b. That is a common thing that most Kirby users do, so you can easily grab them. You can also use projectiles, but just make sure that the Kirby user does not inhale you, especially if you are using any projectile based characters, or they will use it against you.

Oh man just Killing Kirby's is fun. All you really need is characters that can fly and/or are fast and have good launching power so here's who I think Little Mac if you don't let them Kirbycide you, The 2 Pits Pit and Dark Pit just in case you don't know Kirby himself actually works Meta Knight King Dedede Jigglypuff and Sonic just cuz he's fast. That's all the s I can think of off the top of my head but there's more for sure.

Someone like ganondorf can kill kirby very easily. And he has some really strong smash attacks that are just amazing and can send her flying very high! Him and captain falcon are the best way to kill kirby

Yeah tip 2 isn't gonna help because spamming smashes leaves you vulnerable to kirby's attacks and also stales out quickly. plus tip one you have to wait if he does decide to go in the air and wait for his attack then punish him. and also since he has inhale don't let him get you with it because he can kirbycide you and alsosteal your b move.
