Towns Folk
Reading I just saw how it must be (you can help adding rules)

Rule 1: You start in a new town
Rule 2: Your first pokémon will be a water, fire or plant type.
Rule 3: You will learn to play BEFORE the tutorial
Rule 4: What's your name?
Rule 5: Boy or girl?
Rule 6: The kid will have a console in his/her room.
Rule 7: The mother won't cry
Rule 8: You can be a pokémon trainer when you reach 10, but you will find a lot of people (preschool people) with pokémon and they will gives you money if beaten.

Rule 9: Must include pokelogic all over the place
Rule 10: Main character must save the world somehow even though he's only 10 years old
Rule 11: Main character cannot sleep

Rule 12: Main character don't need to eat
Rule 13: Main character can see on the dark
Rule 14: Free bicycle!

Rule 14b: If the bicycle isn't free it costs more money than you can possibly carry!....but there's a coupon that covers it entirely :p
Rule 15: Impossible to truly catch 'em all
Rule 16: Must use pokemon to surf across the sea yet there are trainers able to just swim.

Rule 17: A Snorlax will block a route
Rule 18: Victory road is long

Rule 19: You've already met the Champion.
Rule 20: Your (legit) rival will always pick the starter with a type advantage.

Rule 21: Pokémons will magically have eggs
Rule 22: JUST... ONE... MASTERBALL!

EASTEREGGSSSSSS

That doesn't help with the thread...

Rule 23: Caves means Zubats
Rule 24: There is a hidden ghost in the game

Rule 25: Gym Leaders, Elite 4, and the Champion will always use Potion/Full Restore when their health is at red.
Rule 26: Magikarp is useless.
Rule 27: Tentacool everywhere when surfing.
