Gen 6 How to obtain Eevee's evolutions Espeon and Umbreon quickly

Espeon and Umbreon are definately some of the most involved Eevee evolutions, since they require you to actually use Eevee in battle and to keep them in your team for a good while. This is because the only way Eevee evolves in to either form is by strengthening the friendship in between them and the the trainer.

Thee is a quicker way to get both Umbreon and Espeonwhich will still require you to use the in your party, but have your friendship grow at a quicker rate.

First make sure to catch both Eevee's in luxury balls. You are given five of them during the main story quest. Alternitavely, after you get access to the entirity of lumiose city, go to autumnal avenue and there is a shop with a Pokeball desighn. This shop sells all the special pokeballs including luxury balls, for $1,000 each.

The reason you want them in luxury balls is because their friendship rate is much larger than any other other Pokeball.

Then all it takes is to go out for a few battles. You don't necessarily have to use Eevee if you have the exp share which will still make Eevee level up but he/she still earns friendship faster if you actually use Eevee in battle and win withe him/her.It took me about from level 6 to 10.

Rememer, to get Umbreon, you have to level Eevee up after 8pm and before 4am. Alternatively, Espeon is attained by leveling up Eevee after 4am and before 8pm.So basically you have to level one up at day and on at night.

This is super helpful especially since new Pokémon trainers may not know how to get them, I know some are still stuck on how to get Sylveon.

I sometimes wonder how people dunno really how to evolve Eevee into an Espeon or Umbreon , but in reality , it's really quite easy I think that giving the Eevee a Soothe Bell even might boost the friendship levels a lot more as well , making it evolve quicklier , but you summed it up nicely ^_^

Yea the Luxury ball tip helps a lot actually, and to add on you can make the eevee hold a friendship boosting item like a Soothe Bell and winning battles also helps increase friendship. I made mu shiny eevee evolve into Umbreon immediately with this trick because of my desperate love for shiny Umbreons
