I have no idea why this exists in Windows 10. How do I disable it?

When I intend to search for content in the notepad itself, I mistakenly click the "Search by Bing" option instead. This is extremely annoying as I'm just getting used to the new options. When I use my computer, my hands move on their own to perform certain actions without me even carefully looking and doing anything. Because this is new, it disrupts how I usually do things.

I don't believe so, no. If you want to search within the text itself though, hit ctrl+f then the search box will appear.

If you want a better program though, notepad++ I use instead of notepad and that has an option which is "search on internet" and it'll take your default browser/search engine and use that instead if you ever want to use an option like that. NP++ is also just infinitely better than notepad in every single way lol

NP++ is really good from what I hear, but if you don't want to download anything, then just use Wordpad, and save your files as .txts or anything else you need them as.
