How to skip Marie and Callie news after loading Splatoon?

Sometimes I just feel to play a quick game online and skip the Marie and Callie news in Splatoon, Does anyone know if it's possible? If it is, how can I skip the news?

I'm pretty sure it's not possible to skip them? That would be fine if they only showed up for important updates and new content, but it's a bit annoying to listen to them tell you about the current maps. Also, I haven't played in quite a while, and I know there will be plenty of new weapons and maps when I play again, so I'll have to deal with a crap ton of text e.e

at the very least, they just tell you to check online for update details instead of making you sit through it all.
