Personal Computer hard disk capacity has grown at a steady exponential rate for several decades. In 1984 this capacity was about 1/100 of a gigabyte. In 1995 the capacity had increased to about 1 gigabyte.

It's the start of 1995 so it's been 10 years. I've most of this question down, I just need an exponential equation for this. If i can get that, i can do the rest. Thanks to anyone who helps.

But if anyone has an answer, i would appreciate if you could post your equation, so that i can check.

I got something around
f(x) = .01(1.584...ish)^x
