I deleted ACNL from my ds, should I re-download?

If I re-download, will I get my stuff back that I had in game? If not then it isn't worth going back.
 
I think your data is safe as long as it is on the same SD Card. I lost my Luigi's Mansion save file when I tried switching SD Cards (I was dumb) and had to restart the game. The 3DS keeps a backup save file saved for most games I believe, as long as you don't delete the save data then you are good.

ok, I'm going to try to download from the eshop and hope the 3ds saved the backup data for me. thanks!
 
As long as you didn't go into the system settings and delete your saved data, your file will still be there whenever you redownload it
 
I guess the files will still be there, if you created Save-Back up data before deleting the game. I know that the option does keep your data, in case you want to download it again. Even though others have deleted the game and it's Save-Back up data, they were somehow still able to keep their files for some reason.
