I have heard that the new NX console will be a console and handheld in one.

Have you guys heard anything about this? i saw that nintendo put a pat on a new system that wont use disc. that sounds like a new handheld, i wonder if the new nx will have a controller that acts like a handheld that can be used away from the main console. if thats the case, it will me amazing....

We can never be sure about anything until they reveal it to us, so I would say take everything with a grain of salt. I personally think it's a bit far fetched to say it would be both handheld and home console, but hey. Now about the new system without disc', it just be them patenting it for the future. As I said we can't be sure about anything.

what the guy said ^^^ the NX wont be what any of us think it will be. Nintendo always dose this and they did it to smash bros with the touny mode. smh . I am scared for the new star fox because if they mess that one up im sure leaving nintendo I will say Nintendo dose alot of right like the games and all always fun. I play a nintendo because i want to get away from real life.

i have not liked star fox since the n64. i only like a select few of nintendo games, some people get mad, but i do not like most nintendo games, i like mario(of course), zelda, donkey kong, and maybe a couple of other ones.

I've never really gotten into Starfox, just never interested me. I may get Starfox Zero when it releases, but I'm not sure. Back on the topic, I hope the NX will do better than the Wii U.

I really do hope the nx does better than the wii u, but just last week, nintendo has confirmed it is not a successor to the wii u, so my guess is it is a media device, with another hybrid console coming in 2018. The nx will be a media device to help boost sales of both the wii u and 3ds, and will probably compete against the apple tv.

Well, that wouldn't be too bad. I actually just got a Wii U about a week ago (College student problems aka not enough money XD). So yeah, I wouldn't mind not having a new console to get for a while. I wish the Wii U was doing much better than it is right now, because it really is a great console. The only drawbacks is not enough 3rd party support and well... the hard drive space. Though I prefer game disc's instead of downloading it from the eshop. Since the NX won't be a successor I'm actually really interested about what it could be. Let's just hope it's not a flop.

Agreed, nintendos president even agreed that they need to make the wii u's line up much bigger. I hope whatever nintendo is doing is not a flop, hopefully it does well. I am thinking it will be some sort of media device, because nintendo commentated on how they should expand business to do things other than games.

I actually kind of like the idea of Nintendo widening their horizon. What with them having mobile games and possibly the NX be a media device. I mean as long as they don't stop making consoles and handhelds I'm all for it

Guys, I think the important thing to do is to wait until we have total confirmation from Nintendo themselves. It seems like every time, some game journalist site is always saying something about a rumor they hear and it never seems to be somewhere similar to the last. First, it's a console, then a mobile device, and now a two-in-one console/hybrid. Again, Nintendo is the only people we can trust for news about the NX.

Actually i was really thinking that it will be a home console because new 3ds xl was out few months ago and it was also handconsole so i think this time we are going to see a homeconsole.

Exactly what Elk said: if you didn't hear it from Nintendo, then It's more than likely not the case. Console/handheld would be cool, but wouldn't that totally replace the Wii U and 3DS Family? Nintendo said they had no intentions for the NX being a replacement of either consoles.
