I can't seem to find solutions to any of my problems anywhere, so I decided to come here! I've been having numerous problems lately and have no idea what caused them or how to fix them. It started when one day I tried to open my YouTube app and it just loaded a screen saying I need to update my flash player. This didn't make since to me since 3DS's don't even use flash. I thought it was just some weird accident and closed the app and tried again. It happens every time. I can't hit back or anything, it's just stuck there. I later figured the page is probably a scam because they spelled “uninstall” wrong. Everything that I've heard is that 3DS's can't get adware or viruses. They're supposed to be completely protected from that stuff because someone would have to specifically target the 3DS and take the time to somehow construct a virus. And even after that they would have to get it on the system somehow. No biggie I thought, I can just watch YouTube on my computer even though it's less convenient. A little while later when I try to open Facebook I randomly get a ssl connection error. That's the only website that got the error. I have no idea why that started happening and started to get frustrated. A couple weeks later, my Google doesn't even work at all. It just gets an error, and sometimes goes to that weird update your flash page. Yahoo still works... I have no idea why though. I bet no one has any ideas about how to solve these but I thought I'd post it :/

Seems awfully strange, YouTube works just fine on my 3DS along with the Internet Browser. Heck even Netflix works perfectly fine. I'm not quite sure myself, is your system up to date? That is probably a minimal issue to the cause but it could help having the latest software. If that doesn't help then idk what will .-.

Try deleting your YouTube ad and clearing your 3DS browser's history, because:
  • your YouTube app might've been corrupted. Even if not, a reinstall is the easiest way to solving it.
  • your browser's cache might have become too crowded and is slowed down, and behaves strangely because of that. Clearing the history clears the cache so it'll work if that's the problem.
Good luck.

I have reinstalled YouTube and cleared my browser completely. I actually reset the browser, but it still doesn't work...

  1. Open Nintendo eshop and search for Youtube
  2. Open the info
  3. Scroll down until you see [Repair Software]
  4. Tap that button
  5. follow the prompts to repair Youtube

Is there an error message or code?

Yeah I agree, I never seen anything about this before. It might be your firmware or something.

My firmware is completely up to date. Repairing it in the eshop just reinstalls YouTube and I have the same problems. It might be something with my router, but nothing about it has changed.

Is there an error code

For the YouTube problem there isn't an error code.

Did you get this wrror in the YouTube app for 3DS or did you open YouTube in your 3DS Browser?

You cannot use the Internet Browser as it has no Flash. You have to download the Youtube App
If you are on the app it should have Flash
