Helloo! \:D/
Towns Folk
^ I'm like seriously freaking out. I dunno which career to choose. I'm okay at Maths, I'm interested in Science but find it really hard. I'm strong at Social but meh, who takes it? Its really troubling me from the past week. That's the reason why I can't focus on the Finals I have this month. Its like everything is slipping out of reach!

I'll like seriously need help, It feels like I've lost my mind :banghead:

I'm having serious troubles, a pm would be really well.

I don't know how old you are, but 99% of the people on this website are at an age which they don't have to worry about this yet. You're probably in this 99%.

You'll find out eventually what you want to do. If not in high school then definitely in college you'll find a career that's suited for you.

In the meantime study for those finals. They'll help you boost your GPA and impress colleges that you may want to go to and all.

I saw that you should pick your career based on what you love doing. A career doesn't have to be based around what you're learning in school. I was excellent in Social Studies, okay in Science, and crashed an burned in Math. I'm making writing a career of mine because I love writing stories and sharing them with others.

If you make a career out of the things you do you will be the best at it :p. So I'd say focus on your talents and go from there.

Its probably not the greatest idea to ask random people on the internet what to do for the rest of your life.

There's no point in worrying about a career to the point of not being able to study when you haven't even been cast on your own resources yet. Your parents will advise you when the time comes, most likely. So focus on your finals right now.

Later on in your vacations, ask your parents, teachers and especially relatively younger people you know who have steady jobs about what they think you should do, the make a decision based on all the questions you should ask yourself - is it financially sound? Could you do it for the rest of your life? Stuff like that.

Don't think about it too much right now, you're still a youngin.

If all else fails (and use this as a VERY LAST RESORT!) you can try YouTube for a career! What... I did say only for VERY LAST RESORT! And there isn't much of chance if a career though... Better to have it as a hobby though.

Hey bro ik the feeling, I want to be in law enforcement. The things that influenced that decision for me was all the storries of Cops holding these children when they were scared. I've always tried my best to protect those who could not I once punched a kid because he was picking on a special Ed kid, my and that special kid have had a lasting friendship ever since. The big thing for me was I was out with my cousins one time and I got stuck with all seven of em ranging from ages 10 moths who I had to hold all the way to 7 years and he is a freaking maniac, well two of my two year old cousins went missing they just left my sight, I started to panic, it wasn't terribly busy, it turns out some dick and had picked them up, they were screaming and a Cop knew that wasn't right so he chased the guy and arrested him saving my little cousins. I'll never forget that moment. Angels dont Cary swords or robes and harps, they carry guns, badges and an incredible amount of honor.

Im in the same situation, i have intrests in the arts and know some about technolegy, and i like writing but still have no idea what i want to do when i graduate. Im just hoing with the flow, i have time to sleep on it, untill the point comes where im forced to choose a major im not thinking about it unless it comes and hits me. In the meantime dont fret, yet. Just relax and listen to some music

I must admit I slightly disagree, but first I do argee that you should focus on your final. I know this is months later but I'll elaborate anyway. It's perfectly fine to think about a career you'd like to pursue. For me, for example, I want to be a theoretical physicist. I been trying to learn the mathematics required. Whatever career it is you want to pursue, just go for it. I don't think it's too early at all to pick what you want to do.

You'll probably change your path at least once. I did, and it's okay. As a child, I wanted to be a vet, but after the loss of a beloved pet, I couldn't do it anymore because I'd probably get attached to all the animals I cared for and would just be a bawling mess at work all the time. I considered being a chef at one point, but I changed my mind on that too. Graphic design and translating were also two options I considered before I finally decided on journalism.

Pick something you're passionate about. Pick something you'll enjoy doing. When you get to college, you can explore your options, so take advantage of it all. You'll probably be able to take a few courses that introduce you to the world of college and help you figure out what you want to do. Dip your foot in the water with things you're interested in and find the one you'll be the happiest with.

If you're still in high school though, focus on getting through that first. Enjoy your time there, and when you graduate, you can worry a little more about what you're going to do afterwards. Just relax, enjoy life, and everything will fall in place eventually.

Its so good to hear from you guys. It really means a lot. Though I'm shifting. Like 7000miles away from my current place. I'm immigrating to Canada this October. I'll have to repeat a class there since I'll have to join on based on my age group. So I'll focus on that. I've thought to be an environmentalist. Its the stream I think I love...and I've always been close to nature and I can't stand anyone doing anything bad to it.
As taken from a 'Yahoo Answers' answer :--

"Conservationists promote a "wise use" policy, while environmentalists promote a policy of protectionism.

A conservationist looks at a forest as says "we can log 50% of this forest and let it regrow."

An environmentalist says "leave the forest untouched and find another way."

Both ideals are needed, because we need to harvest resources sustainably to some extent, but some areas should also be left alone as habitat for the other couple of million species living on this planet with us."

Most people haven't realized how grave this danger is. This is the tipping point, at at this rate; its not far from being tipped.

Annd I'm thinking out loud

Thank you! All of you!!
