You know, i find it suprising that nintendo's Super Smash Bros For WiiU hasn't released the shovel wielding hero Shovel Knight Onto Ssb as a DLC character. I am well aware that converting pixel to 3D is hard, or maybe coming up with a moveset for him is complicated but if we can have bayonetta in smash we should have shovel knight as well.
 
I don't even know who shovel knight is so ill go with knuckles because he is cool and shadow.
 
I'd honestly love having Shovel Knight in. I voted for him in the ballot. His moveset could be a problem, though, since there's not really much you can do with a shovel. They wouldn't have to make an amiibo for him either, since Yacht Club Games already has that coming.
 
I'm honestly surprise that Shovel Knight was not in SSM. He was one of the most popular indie character for Wii U and 3ds. He would have been a great addition. And if you say he can't because he has no move set. Then, you never played the game. He has alot of option for his moves. For his basic attacks he would use his shovel. His B can be his fire wand charging to shoot a flame at a enemy. His side B can be his Dust Knuckles, he can do multiple hits on different enemys who are near each other. His up B can use his Propeller Dagger to fly up in to the air. His down B would uses his war horn as a area of effect that harms enemy close by and push others that are more far back. His taunts can be opening a chest,drinking his healing chalice, and doing his end stage pose. His special could be that him and Shield Knight team up. I do hope that Shovel Knight will join SSM.
 
Why in the world would other sonic characters come on to smash bros? Not to be mean or anything, but I would find that terrible if tails, knuckles, shadow, or any other sonic character would come on smash bros, that would be really lame. Typoman would be pretty random, so shovel knight would be the only good character.
 
Well, you have to be aware of Sakurai and the development team. They're Japanese and probably never heard of Shovel Knight because they don't live in the Americas or Europe. There's regional differences between these countries. Like back in the day we didn't know who Marth and Roy were back in Melee, it's the same story with the Smash development team and Shovel Knight. Plus, Smash 4 is completely finished. Bayonetta won the ballot and that's that. DLC is over, and Sakurai is on an extended vacation.

I agree that Shovel Knight can be an acceptable Smash character. But it would be too late for that. And I do not see why having another Sonic character included would be terrible. Sure, no more than 2 third-party characters of the same series has appeared in Smash but Sonic has come to be a non-Nintendo staple in the series.
 
If we cannot laugh at ourselves, life will become a dull and stifling experience. Life can be a challenge; of that there is no doubt. But if we take a moment to stop and see the joke, we can change our entire day. To those that take life seriously, we may see humor as an obstacle in our paths. The truth is that jokes are funny because they contain a grain of truth about life that would not be able to be shown through any other medium. A funny joke or poem has the power to point out subtle ironies of life that I might get shot in the head for if I were to say them straight out. Humor has the capacity to point absurdities about the way we live our lives in a non-threatening way

I have only played a bit of shovel knight, but he would be perfect for smash bros. He already has enough abilities available in the game to have a full move set and shovel knight is on 3ds as well as some other consoles, so it SHOULD be fine in terms of legality, so he should totally be in smash bros.

True, but If anyone knew about Shulk before smash bros in America and Europe, conglaturation, you are now Japanese.

So you never have heard of Xenoblade Chronicles before Sm4sh?

You know, the game that is considered the best Wii game since 2011... I have read about it in several gaming magazines, much before his announcement in sm4sh, and even had an announced sequel...

At least Xenoblade was known and was in sales in west, while Shovel is not even out in Japan, so there is a huge difference
