Steve from minecraft! Am I the only one who thinks this?
Minecraft is a HUGE success, I think Nintendo could actually benefit a good deal.
There are so many options for his attacks. He could summon mobs, shoot an arrow, throw snowballs!
The only problem would be if Microsoft would be interested p:

I think there could have been a bigger chance of it actually happening if Mojang hadn't been sold D;

That kinda is impossible because Microsoft owns that thing now.

True dat, y'all!

B-bow
<B-Sword
/\B-limited fly
\/B-shovel pit
Smash attacks involve sword
Final Smash-Ghast stuns opponents while wither blows them away

That is possible, just not very probable. Microsoft own minecraft now. Still though, wasn't there a tweet from some microsoft guy saying he would love banjo in smash. If Steve did get in smash that would probably mean minecraft would come to the Wii U. I don't play minecraft too often but my little brother loves it and would probably buy it the minute it goes onto the eshop.

Anyone suggest Steve (or an Alex skin swap) on the Smash ballet

I have seen fan made videos of a Steve skin for Smash. It was obviously Link since he used the Bow, had a Diamond Sword(Master Sword), did a spin attack and even threw TNT. If Steve was created, it would just be a Minecraft version of Link, a clone. Like others said, Microsoft owns Minecraft now.

I don't think that can happen because it's not a Nintendo Character.

Actually, I heard that minecraft is coming to the 3ds and wiiu. Can any1 confirm that?

It isn't. Mojang said they think about it a lot (or something along those lines), but no current plans.

Microsoft owning Mojang hasn't changed anything. Steve isn't really a recognizable character unless you're part of the "hardcore" Minecraft crowd.

Well, steve is a huge sucsess and It maybe would ramp of the sales of the game, but it won't be in thanks to microsoft owning mojang and the fact that mojang has done nothing to signify there character in a game as big as smash brothers 4. It might be possible in smash 5 if something happens, but it probally won't come :(

I hope for the love of god this is a joke. It will never happen

I personally think Steve would be a rather weird addition, mostly due to Minecraft's main audience being focused on PC,not Nintendo platformers, and that Microsoft is with the rights for the IP as a whole.Sure, you could argue that Banjo-Kazooie is in the same railroad as Steve, with the company owning Rare and its IPs to appeare o Xbox systems only, but that bear and bird duo does have potential because they started and are majorly recognized as Nintendo characters, and even Microsoft is promoting them to be voted for the Smash Ballot,so that is saying something. :writing:
Minecraft though, has never appeared in a Nintendo system, and the company behind the game,Mojang, has been discussing forever if they would release the game on Wii U and 3DS.Well,at this point,I'm conflicted on the idea, because if they were more tactical on the game's merchandise, they would already have done it before other games alike had arrived on the Wii U and 3DS. :panda:
And personaly, there are other 3rd party characters that seem to fit in more with Smash, like Shantae,Rayman,Bomberman and others.Steve could possibly work, although I just don't see that happening soon.

I don't think steve should be in smash...I really love minecraft it's my favorite game but he would just look weird with all of these character's, And like everyone is saying microsoft earn's the right to minecraft now, And i doubt microsoft would let them use steve in smash 4. Maybe banjo-kazooie could make it in because aren't they trying to get banjo-kazooie in already? If so i hope banjo-kazooie get's in it but steve? I doubt he even has a chance.

Impossible! I just don't see that ever happening xP

I don't really see that happening ever since microsoft owns Minecraft but it is possible. His moveset can be determined. He could use his weapons for smash attacks and regular attacks. I dont know how his aerials could work though. It does make things seem interesting.

I dont really think of this happening because microsoft i think first than this microsoft would give Banjo a slot in smash before giving steve a slot but eh who know what are we going to get maybe we are getting Shrek :sneaky: or hopefully young link banjo and ice climbers... we will see when ballot results are out

I'm sorry but this will not happen because Microsoft bought Minecraft. Like Banjo Kazooie, they were bought by Microsoft (not really, Rare owns Banjo Kazooie). But maybe if Nintendo buys Minecraft, they can put it in. There's a problem though, the Wii U is not a big success and I think Nintendo does not want to buy Minecraft anyway. They already have Minecraft spinoffs like Cube Creator 3D for the 3DS. But we may get Banjo though.
