Idle screen! Need help!

I got my GC controller working on my PC, it works fine. But when I play any game not on Dolphin, I think my controller doesn't count as a key input. So, if I want to play some games with my gc controller, after exactly a minute, it throws me at an idle screen, which is VERY annoying. I've been looking everywhere how to disable the idle screen, does anyone have any tips?

By idle screen, you mean when you leave the PC alone for a while and it goes into a screensaver mode, right?

I believe that you can disable the idle screen, but first I must know what type of PC you are using. (Windows, Mac, Linux)

Ah, ok! Do you know how to access your control panel?
If you do, access it, and select Appearance and Personalization.
After that, select the Change screen saver option the Personalization category.
You can edit the screen saver to none from here.
If you require illustrations, please let me know!
