If they were making a zelda movie

If Hollywood makes a legend of zelda movie who would you want cast as some of the characters and which era would you wamt them to make it of? I'd want the guy playing lex luthor in batman vs superman to be link, not sure about the other characters I would want it to be based on either the original or maybe ocarina of time.
 
I think it should be during Ocarina of time then to the alternate timeline where he doesn't beat ganondorf. That would be my pick for era and for cast I can't decide due to my lack of Hollywood knowledge...
 
I would love a Legend of Zelda movie! But knowing Hollywood they would mess up something (like the Last Airbender, they killed Sokka's personality and butchered his name). As for Link I don't know any perfect actors for him...but for Ganondorf I feel like the guy who plays Heimdall in the Thor movies would be perfect! I think his name is Idris Elba.

However I would love to see it take place based around Majora's Mask or Twilight Princess. Only because I love the idea of seeing the masks done and being on the big screen, and I love the dark vibe from Twilight Princess.
 
IDK dude, I've seen the disaster of Eragon happen in Hollywood. For accuracy to the story, I'd go Indie. (Giant Ape productions started as an Indie.)
 
I would love to see a movie from Minish Cap (I've seen good movies where the protagonist is tiny, can't remember the name)
Or OOT
 
too bad michael clarke duncan is dead he would've made a good ganondorf even though he already played in street fighter legend of chun li as balrog

I think that Twilight Princess would make the best movie. That is because I feel like Twilight Princess in itself is a playable movie, mainly because of the storyline with the kid's abduction, Link entering the Twilight zones, and how there is more and more of a storyline uncovered before completing a dungeon or after completing a dungeon. Twilight Princess is a masterpiece in my eyes, and being the longest game in the Zelda series with 38 hours of gameplay, I think it would overall be the best candidate.

Please no >.< live action movies for a game franchise would be just... I dunno, hollywood does mess up a lot of stuff.

An anime movie/series, on the other hand, would be just awesome though, they need no actors (save for voice actors, of which there are plenty of good ones) so it's nigh impossible to mess it up through acting, Ninty has enough budget to get some real nice animators to give it crazy visuals. And there are manga about the series too. OoT would be best for it.
 
I agree with toastpainter_3 I also think twilight princess would be one of the best movies I've ever seen with just enough action and drama SO HOLLYWOOD MAKE TWILIGHT PRINCESS A MOVIE sorry about the all caps thing that's just how I feel:)

A Zelda Movie would be way beyond weird in my opinion. Link never talks (besides the usual Hyaaaa! 's) and a movie might screw the events in which the original game's order. I think that sometime last year there was a movie being worked on but it stopped for some particular reason.

I wouldn't mind a Zelda movie, as long as it's not made by Hollywood. I'd rather Japan make a Zelda movie using toku effects with CGI and such like they've done in recent anime/manga to live-action movies (Assassination Classroom, Rurouni Kenshin, 20th Century Boys). I'd cast Gaku Sano (Kamen Rider Gaim) as Link, Kanna Mori (Kamen Rider Decade) as Zelda, and Yu Kamio (Kamen Rider OOO/ Ultraman X) as Ganondorf. It would more or less be a live-action adaption of Ocarina of Time, however I'd leave most creative consultation and such to the directors.

One more thing, the script would be written by Gen Urobochi. Of you know him, you know what that would mean. :D

Hollywood would most likely ruin it ;-; It could be interesting, if they did it right. I'd like to see Impa, Midna, and maybe even Lana. A Hyrule Warriors movie could be really interesting! Just... don't make it live action please! And voice acting may sound wierd...

No to all of this, no, just no... Kill it, KILL IT WITH FIRE PLS D:

Live action movies that make heavy use of CGI tend to require astronomical budgets to looks convincing.

Japanese people wouldn't fit with the Zelda atmosphere :/

Giving creative input to directors is rarely a good thing :(

And last, putting Urobutcher on the script would make all the characters 50% more miserable >.> he's an awesome writer and all, but he tends to make characters suffer and sometimes act ooc just to make them fit his plot (like in Fate/Zero)

As long as it isn't anything like the Mario movie. I mean come on. Serriously who the hell made a movie like that. They need to burn that with fire. Plus almost every videogame movie is worst than the videogame so I'd rather see they don't make any more movies. Just no...

The best thing for a zelda movie would be an animated windwaker movie (I know im 2 obsessed with windwaker) windwaker could just have more plot and story than ocarina of time lol another great thing would be twilight princess but real life zelda movie would just suck i dont know so i wouldreffer it to be animated and windwaker or phantom hourgalss, spirit tracks, maybe the oracle series, and the cast i dont really care, i dont know any actors so meh
