If you could go back in time, where would you go?

This is a thought that has always struck me ... If I could invent a time machine or lay my hands on one, where would I want to travel?

I would love to travel some 3000 years into the future & see what the world like then. I probably may not even survive in an era where there is such advancement of technology, but maybe ... humans may not even be there.

Where would you like to go and why?

I'd probably just go back in time to many different major time periods they teach in History class, and get a 100% on all the tests because I witnessed the events without even having to touch a book!

It'd be interesting to actually see things that happened in US Historynrather than just read about them in books in class. Boring!

I would to go back to the 90's, when I was a kid, had no responsibilities and school was easy. I did a lot and didn't have to worry about anything. That was certainly the life! xD

Well................ I wouldn't time travel because if I mess up something could go wrong and destroy the timeline as we know it and it's probably very dangerous to.

I'd keep going 10 years in the future at a time to see what massive technologic advancements have been made. You said you'd go 3000 years in the future, but to me that wouldn't be as interesting because I'd be expecting it to be extremely different. Say 100 years down the line it'd be interesting to see what my great great grandkids could grow up with.

The title's a little misleading since it kind of makes me think I can only go back in time, not forward. But having read the original post, I'd choose to go forward in time about 20 years to see how my life and my family's lives end up.

I'd go back in time to the 70s. I want to see that Alice Cooper show that had 20ft. tall spiders in it.

A few months ago I prayed to be able to go just a day back in time since it was a pretty bad day for me, everything went wrong, but, well, there you have it... everything turned out all right
