If there's one thing that's always interested me, it's virtual reality!
The idea of immersing yourself in a virtual world always intrigued me.
This got me thinking, what if you could play a game like Animal Crossing in a first person view or even virtual reality? Would you like and play something like this? Do you prefer the 3rd person style of the game?
I personally would love to be able to play Animal Crossing in virtual reality someday and just sit in my giant mansion of a house or even hang out in my villagers' houses!

That would actually be a cool concept. You get to do all your mayor work and stuff from the perspective of the big man/woman themselves! Plus talking with villagers in first person would be a pretty cool thing to do! I played New Leaf only for a little so I'm not too sure of what to expect from a real Animal Crossing game, but if HHD was actually first person (currently playing that) then I would have so much fun designing houses and visiting the houses I made in a First Person POV. I like the idea a lot, and I think this would be a pretty successful game if given proper gameplay and details that would keep a player playing the game for a while (and not make you come just so you can check a few things everyday to make sure everythings in order >.>)

Animal crossing in first person view would be amazing. Swinging that axe around, slinging that sling shot. Heck, hide and seek would be a whole lot more fun since you can feel more engaged. I would honestly pay a lot of money just to play that in first person. Nintendo make it happen please.

That sounds like a awesome idea! Sounds like something that would be great to make on Unity or Unreal Engine. I really like first person games, but I think for animal crossing the third person suits it better as a first person view may be kinda creepy... Imagine resetti waking you up in first person :nailbiting: :hilarious:.

That... would be really cool! I'd jump in lakes in Virtual Reality and slap villagers and hit them with my Axe! Or bother them by whacking them over and over again with a hammer! Tom Nook will regret making me pay so much when I torture him with my axe! I really like the idea, even if it isn't Virtual Reality.

I disagree with most peeps here. I like seeing my character's pretty clothes and stuff ;~; Although it would be a cool concept, it would probably stop me from buying the game. I like the third person view a lot when playing on a 3ds.

Your thread has two questions tho :p If it was in virtual reality, that would be pretty cool. Having a mansion and being able to walk around it and freeeedom would be great\o/ I wonder how it would look when you place the furniture and pick up he leaves and stuff.

I agree with rawrrie. >.< Animal Crossing in 1st person view would be really weird imo. I'm just like, nope nope not happening :panda: I probably wouldn't buy the game either. :L But seeing yourself hit villagers with a net would be nice, haha. xP

But I agree with the Animal Crossing virtual reality idea tho. c:

Add a mirror in the pockets of your villagers, problem solved. xD

The idea alone would be amazing if implemented! Makes me wonder what doing Animal Crossing glitches in first person POV would be like. Disorientating, I imagine. Oh, and running away from bees you disturbed would be a lot more fun lol.

Imo if it's not a shooter I wouldn't like it in first person (although KIU was fine in third person). It would make sense for the game to be first person more than third person. In buildings I'd like first person but outside I'd rather have third person so you have a sense of what's around you more. Or different still whenever you do an action in the overworld it's first person but when you're done it would go back to third person. That would be fine, just not all the time though.

This would really brighten up the animal crossing franchise in so many ways, those being able to enjoy your town more, have more fun with friends and all kinds of good stuff! The only things bad about it would be getting used to the 1st person from the 3rd person view, it shouldn't be too hard to get used to though.

Playing Animal Crossing in 1st Person's view or virtual reality would be pretty interesting. It would make it more adventurous in so many ways! All the activities like fishing, catching bugs and talking to villagers (except for creepy villagers) would be a lot more fun to play!

Well the idea is interest enough but I donno if I would want to play like that cause I play a good amount of hours in games so it would hurt my eyes and give me a headache being that close to my face for so long. If there was a way to avoid that and still get as much fun out of it then I 'd say it would be a good idea.

They should make a option for you to do that.
It sound pretty cool not gonna lie.
But I feel like it would look like Minecraft but not blocky and real animations

I think that a first person version of Animal Crossing would be a very interesting idea, as it would add to the charming and relaxing atmosphere, especially with the VR that you mentioned being added. I wonder if a fan game like this could be made in Unreal Engine 4. Anyone?

It's an interesting idea to play animal crossing in first person view. I'd love to try it. But some others have made a good point, it's just a third person game. It gives you that relaxed feeling. So maybe Nintendo should make first person an option. That way anyone can try it and if they dislike it, they can just turn it off.

As for virtual reality? That would be genius. Seeing all your favorite characters as if they were real. Maybe designing clothes differently than all the others games. Maybe actually playing music on the instruments. Diving for those deepsea creatures!

In my opinion it would be in nintendos best interest to check out the possibility of animal crossing in virtual reality.

VR is a very very good idea. And for the people who like seeing themselves, they could make it so you can look down at yourself, so its like you are actually wearing it, and if that isn’t enough they could add alot of mirrors in various places, and have some available to buy for your house. They could have hair on your face visible if its long enough. Playing in VR would enhance the whole experience. Fishing would be slightly more interesting, bug catching would be a blast, and getting to physically shake trees, cut down trees, or dig holes would be very fun. They could even give you a backpack or fanny pack to use as inventory, or use those vive touchpads for a faster inventory experience.interactions with animals might feel a little silly, but oh well. Its a very good idea.

I think that would amazing! I can picture it in my mind right now. It'd be an amazing experience, swinging axes first person view. Hide and Seek would be a lot more realistic. Of course you could still customize your character. Just add mirrors. The idea is genius, and Nintendo better get on it! I'd buy the game if this happens! Genius idea!

If this ever happens, my money will definitely find a new home. :eyes3:

Just imagining a game like Animal Crossing in VR makes me super excited. Imagine placing your furniture, talking to the neighbors, and playing mini games, all in a real environment. If this ever happens, I’m 100% buying it, no questions asked. :p
