If you lost your saved data, could you keep playing?

A couple of months ago @Catstew tweeted on Twitter that he lost his saved data for Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Back when I used to play the game, I told him if I ever lost my saved data, I'd stop playing, :bag:

If you somehow lost your AC:NL saved data, would you continue playing from scratch? :eek:
 
I could, but I can see why others wouldn't want to.

Could we? Yes, I think everyone could. :)

Would we? Well, that's going to be decided base on whether we want to put in a lot of time to catch up to where we previously were in the game.

I probably would do a few things with the game if I lost my data and then stop playing. :(

What about all the items and bells you would be losing? :p

That is pretty good. I don't think I would have the motivation to go to the island every night. You seem very dedicated and it is surely paying off! :)

I'm also sure that people would be willing to give you bells if that ever happened. There are some generous people on this website, including me. :) But you seem to know what you're doing, so I wouldn't worry about that.

Depends how far I am in the game... From where I am now I would start over but if I put hours and hours in to Animal Croasing: New Leaf then I would probably stop playing

Yeah, I got a 3DS XL but I needed to sell my 3DS for it, and I had no way of transferring it.

@Catstew do you still play acnl? also i think that if i got all my data deleted it would be anoying, but i would play still maybe even more.

I WOULD! Definitely, after spending two hours on a game like that, it's a huge waste for me to start over. I think I won't ever play it again, if that happens. :bag:

"? i would but its a huge waste of time to do that and you would never play again? i am a little confused.

I wouldn't for a while but eventually I would start again I would anna take a break from the game for a while tho.

what happened to me is i went to the eshop once then acnl got deleted off my 3ds so my dad got me the cartridge ive been playing the digital version for over 2 years

I may give it another chance. Either way, my town hasn't made much progress even though I have been playing for about 8 months. But I will delete my town until I get my favorite villager back, whose name is Elmer. I would even delete my save file just to get him back into my town. Then I would start from scratch.
