SSB for 3DS I'm getting real sick of fighting little mac after little mac

So, maybe I'm just having bad luck. Or maybe every other person that owns smash for the 3ds mains little mac, but all I ask is a couple for glory matches where I'm not darting around the stage like a mad man GTFO the way of mac's stage enveloping dash attack.

I understand he's a great character, and I even like to ue him myself occasionally, but if you are an offender of this play style of "dash, a, dash, a, dash, a, KO PAWNCH" then please, just please... Don't.

Does anyone have any tips for dealing with this, or a good character to counter little mac? I would personally LOVE to be able to deal with this in another way besides running around constantly worrying about dodging, and being able to play some offense.

Here are some characters I already play:
Fox
Sonic
and Sometimes Lucina

All help would be greatly appreciated :D

Little Mac has a really bad air game. If you use Lucina, counter will be very useful, because little mac hits hard. He also doesn't have any ranged attacks so that cripples him also. I would say to damage him until he is at a high percentage... (duh) and then grab him and throw him off stage. He most likely won't be able to get back up cause of his bad recovery. Ranged characters help as well. Using Rosalina's luma and starbits stops him and if you know how to use Rosalina and control the luma, Little Mac may lose. Especially during sudden death, when that Luma get's launched at him. :sneaky:

The problem is that while you damage him, he still damages you back thanks to Super Armor and he damages you more than you damage him so you die before having a chance to grab him.

I'm not a smash pro I was just tryin to help since no one replied to this thread >.<

Ugh, why do people have trouble fighting Little Mac? The only thing he has is Speed and quick attacks, but he has THE worst recoveries in the game, period.
If you are having trouble, then consider these tips.
If you do use characters like Lucina/Marth/Meta-Knight or any character with good aerials, then you're in for an easy game. Basically, I use this strategy agaisnt everything, using Marth. I start of with a grab, down-throw, short-hop and up air. Keep your spacing (That is at the tip of the sword) and throw him off stage. Marth/Lucina have some of the best ranges and priority off-stage, so use it to your advantage. When you do throw him off-stage, jump off with him and do a Front-air. There's no coming back for him if you hit, guaranteed.
Keep your momentum of as long as possible. That means keep attacking for as long as you can. If he does have his KO punch on, just stay away from him and try to get an occasional hit in.
People who use run-up Smashes can be countered by shielding or by using counters.

This works with Marth, but what do you do with JigglyPuff ? He does have good aerials and his edgeguarding is probably the best possible so if he gets Little Mac off-stage, you're sure he'll never come back. But how do you get him off-stage without being killed before by Super Armor ? He doesn't run fast so you can't really surprise grab and he doesn't have a sword that allows him to hit without being hit back.

And don't tell me "don't play JigglyPuff against Little Mac" because when I am against someone that changes character before each match and I chose JigglyPuff to beat his previous character but he chose Little Mac for this match, I have to play that match with JigglyPuff against Little Mac even though that was not my plan.

Well, either they know what they are doing, or they are using Little Mac because it represents more accurately towards the model of a good fighter. Sometimes new players would chose something that looks closer to what a ordinary person would look like. That is why people who play starcraft for the first time would feel right at home with the the Terran race when playing Starcraft.

Or they just like to spam. .____________.

That's hella solid

Practice during regular smash. Just get like a Lvl 8 or 2 of little macs, find a way to wreck them

I main with Lucina and I have no problem fighting Little Mac. Countering is one of the most solid methods of dealing with one, and if you're having troubles with specific characters, you could always go practice against a Little Mac in training or regular offline Smash mode.

Use shulk he destroys with that counter and at high percents can knock off of stage to where Mac can't recover .
You do have to time the counters well though
