Since I'm getting this game in two days to be exact, I need some help, as I which Mii fighter would you choose best, or what do you think should be my main, I've been thinking about Zero Suit Samus and Sheik a lot for this spot. But if I try I could probably find some character that is better, before you say I should get Smash U let me inform you I will never get a Wii U in my life. So practically I just need you guys to tell me what characters fit best for me, I like melee weapons and ranged is alright, but I mostly like melee. So who do you think fits me best?

In my opinion, the brawler Mii is the best Mii. S/he is also easy to learn and use.

As for a character that should be your main, since it's your first Smash game, I recommend testing out every character to find which one you feel comfortable playing with the most.

- Zero Suit Samus is an alright choice, however, she lacks KO moves so it can be a little difficult to win online matches. He down B (a kick that kicks you into the air) is hard to connect depending on the person you're playing against.

- I started with Kirby and he's a good fighter imo. Down B (stone) is something you can spam as well =/ (to beat players)

- Greninja or one of the sword characters - for the down B counter. You might find it useful at times.

I've never used Sheik so @Megalegacy may need to help you out with her.

Thanks, I'm waiting to battle you though :sneaky:

There are a ton of good characters...I thought my main was going to be shulk but when I tried greninja and bowser jr I fell in love with the characters,it also depends on who you are fighting...try all the characters and use the one you feel comfortable, confident and able to control...it's not easy choosing from 50+ characters...

Melee with some range? Well, Pit seems like a good choice. He has 5 jumps which leads to excellent recovery, some good KO moves, and most of his attacks are melee, with the exception of his Paultena Bow, which does low damage, but is easy to aim and hit people with. His Guardian Orbitars can reflect projectiles and stop attacks.

Pikachu is also a good option. Only Thunder Jolt is ranged, and he is quick, with some good power. Thunder is really powerful, making for a good KO move, and his recovery is pretty good as well, and Pikachu is an optimal aerial fighter.

I like well rounded characters, most faster characters are weak (besides Little Mac) so I recommend you do not use them (like Sheik, Sonic, ZSS, Fox) because you will most likely not win with them. I like characters like Zelda, Dr. Mario (once you unlock him), Pac Man, Jigglypuff, and the Koopalings if I were you and was to start out the game. However if you played another game in the series before try to find one you like the most because you may enjoy the game more. You might like Marth, or Little Mac the most because they have strong physical attacks, however you might like Rosalina because she has good range and power and good aerials/up smash.
