In regards to Pokemon's Youtube community and VGC...

Verlisify, a PokeTuber, supports cheating, does all this cheating, but fights against cheating so only HE can be victorious in a Pokemon battle. First off, is there any evidence to show these claims? Secondly, why does he get an absurd amount of hate from people who clearly see that he provides facts? (I'm not saying he's all right, I'm just saying he goes in-depth and I don't really care if he is right or not. Thirdly, if Verlisify is so unpopular, why does he have 433k+ subscribers that actually love his content and can actually see some reason in his words? I get that people can disagree, but to slander and call him a white supremacist when he called out mostly white people for cheating nd hacking in Pokemon VGC? That makes little to no sense. Like, I could care less if the guy does whatever, I'm just asking have y'all even seen even one of his videos? And I mean, see like for at least 30 seconds.(edited)

I don't necessarily think he's unpopular in the general sense. I think he's just super polarizing. Some people hate him, a lot of people don't. He's a lot like our current president, many people like him, many people don't but there are hardly any people that don't have an opinion on him and hardly any that aren't arguing about it.

So, is he really as bad as everyone in the Pokemon community sees him out to be?

Short answer: Yes

Verlisify is one of the worst members of the Pokémon community. Not even 4chan likes him, 4-C-H-A-N. The only people that seem to like him are 11-17 years old kids than don't know everything about him

So, let me clarify some points about him:

1.- He is bad at Pokémon:
Not exactly a "bad thing" to be, but when you are making competitive guides, and call yourself "A top ten player in the U.S." (fun fact, he is not), yet, not only are you consistently bad at the game, to the point of forgetting the freaking TYPE CHART, then we will have a problem. All of his Pokémon guides are either directly stolen from the Smogon-Dex (sometimes with one moveset change that actually makes the Pokémon worse), or something randomly made with no coherence at all, most of the time completely untested (He has uploaded sets with Assault Vest using Rest SEVERAL times, which just shows that he has not even tried to use them).

If he only made terrible guides, he would just be that, a bad content creator... but oh boy, this is the least of his problems

2.- Literal trash content:
Suddenly, daily uploads with 10+ minutes of literally nothing starts to make sense now. Verlisify is the face of clickbait in the Pokémon community, making huge videos about anything he can make (even making up information) for the sake of money. I'm going to be short with you, if you watch Verlisify videos, you are being used to make money. There is no other side for it.

3.- Smogon antipropaganda and Drama in general:
I made a thread about 2 years ago about this whole issue, so you can read that if you want for abit of context, but anyways, guess who started that bs...

He would constantly lie about the topic to create a fake controversy. He then would create "raids" against certain members of the community on twitter and then delete the original tweet, so it ends up looking as a group of random strangers harassing a Smogon leader without a visible start...

Or he would just start random drama, accusing random people of thing they didn't do (Like the Raichu Dream Ball thing, which both players where hacking because they were trying out teams, and both were aware of the hacking because breeding a full team for the purpose of "trying out if this thing works" is genuinely dumb. O that time when he accused a smaller youtuber of clickbait, when it wasn't the case, like at all)

Also, his girlfriend dumped him for being a jerk, and then he blamed smogon because his gf left him

Sure he is the nicest guy around...

I believe you were very clear. It seems like Verlis is just a sorry excuse for a person. Even though he claims not to be. Just unsubbed to the guy, because of all the drama videos I used to see on his channel about cheating and the like.

I get that hacking and cheating is bad, but clearly this isn't the way to go around it. A hypocrite is the last thing Pokemon and its community needs. I just wish there were more honest Pokemon Youtubers like aDrive and Pimpnite.
