I haven't played them in any particular order because basically all the stories are the same so it really doesn't matter. My order is Sunshine -> Galaxy -> Galaxy 2 -> Odyssey demo and then maybe 64 or 3D Land. I might never get around to 3D World if it never gets released. Do you count the RPG series as 3D platformer?

No. It's a REALLY good game, one of my absolute favourites, if you haven't played it, it's definitely worth it!
