Is Dragon Quest Builders 2 as good as Minecraft and Stardew Valley?

I know little about Dragon Quest Builders 2. I've seen a couple of people on my friend list playing the game and it sounds like a Dragon Quest game but with the collecting + crafting stuff found in games like Minecraft and maybe even Stardew Valley.

So I was wondering how good Dragon Quest Builders 2 is compared to item gathering + crafting games like Minecraft and SV.

In my opinion, it is way better than Minecraft. I have spend many many hours watching the kids play on minecraft ( mostly on creative mode) and attempted to play it myself on survival, but I can't look at it for long , it makes my head hurt.
Where as Dragon Quest Builders 2, I got into right away, and couldn't put it down for ages. (Played the ps4 version very closely followed by the switch version)
There is a cute story to follow in order to unlock materials and other islands etc to build up your home island. And endless possibilities if you enjoy building when you have finished the story, and completed all the Tablet Targets. I think the crafting is easier to understand than minecraft, and also, the battles are not turn-based like the main dragon-quest series.
I highly recommend giving it a try, there is an extended demo available on the eshop now, where you can explore the first island.
Not played Stardew Valley much, I have it on Steam, but couldn't get into it.
