Is it bad that this is happening?

Hi, fellow pedians. As you may or may not know, I am a Pokemon fanatic (you definitely can tell by my icon and sig) and I am experiencing a problem: I AM GETTING BORED OF POKEMON?!?!? Even I don't know how that is possible for someone like me. I believe that I need some serious help with this.
 
Well , I never have really been bored of Pokemon , not ever :p There is a lot more than you can do . Sometimes I like trying to catch every Pokemon and training them . Other times I try to learn strategies for competitive play or maybe simply restart my game :p I suggest getting competitive :thumbsup:

You know, I'm glad that you said that, @Eridan. You see, sometimes I get a little too competitive with a few video games when I finally decide to go competitive (you probably know what I'm talking about) but sometimes for me, when I lose I just get too worked up over nothing and flip out and the whole purpose of buying the game is defeated: just to have fun. Also, another problem is that I haven't gotten any of the newer Pokemon games due to financial issues in my family. I can never afford more than one 3ds game at a time within a span of a month or two, and I was planning on gettin the new AoT game with the money because I would be too late if I didn't get it now. (The most recent Pokemon game I have is W2)
 
I know the feeling, I think it's not Pokémon itself that your getting bored of, it's just the game you have currently. That's how I feel about X right now and I can't get myself to play it because well I beat it...like four times.

And I get a game on special occasions (like my birthday or Christmas) unlike my brother who gets a game whenever he asks.

I think giving W2 a break for a,while or playing Pokémon online games would help, or maybe writing Fanfics or RPing Pokémon would help.
 
I've gotten bored of pokemon at times
What i do is try to find a good hack of a pokemon game that i could spend my time on. Pokemon hacks actually have pretty good stories. There's a thread about favorite pokemon hack.
I suggest u try one, a gba hack since ds ones aren't really worth it
 
That hasn't really happened to me, mostly because I have lots of games to play so I tend to split the hours between them evenly. That way the games don't seem as staled or boring than the other. Another good way to keep yourself entertained is to challenge yourself. If the game seems easy, try implementing restrictions and rules on yourself to help entertain you as you play. It'll wear off soon though, if you're really bored.
 
Well i never get bored with pokemon as I try to do new things ever time like -some times I used try new pokemon in competitive battling with strange strategy and you can try to complete your pokedex which takes to long to complete but It is kinda fun!!
 
Try to complete the pokedex and GET COMPETITIVE! Every since I learned about smogon, movesets, good natures, items, stratgreys, EVs, IVs, etc. Pokemon has grown a whole lot more fun and the main game with the storyline and such seemed really boring compared to battling competitively.
You can use Pokemon showdown to test out your pokes :D
