Is it posible to play splatoon with only a wii remote

Wait what???? How did you break your wii u gamepad out of curiosity? There is no wii remote nor pro controller support for splatoon, perhaps in a future update but for now, no. What is your game pad issue? I may be able to help you solve it, as I helped a lot of people with any problems.

@VoluXian is right. You NEED the gamepad to do anything. You can use the wii remote in battle dojo, but someone still has to use the gamepad. So you are pretty much screwed and you basically cannot play Splatoon until you get another gamepad somehow. (which will be a pain because I'm pretty sure they don't sell them separately)

No mine is fine that is why I didn't know that. Plus I got the really cool Zelda gamepad because I got the WindWaker HD Wii U, so any other gamepad looks strange to me. This is also good for me because I can save money for buying games not buying a gamepad.

You can't play SPLATOON with a Wii remote. The only reason why they did that I think is because it doesn't have all the buttons like on the Wii u gamepad, yes it's true you can play SPLATOON in the battle dojo with the Wii remote but you and I know that that won't be that fun.
