AC:NL Is it possible for Katrina not to visit your town in New Leaf?

I know in Wild World for the DS it was possible for Katrina to not visit your town by turning her off when you talked on the phone in your house. Is this possible in New leaf. Not in that specific way, but is there an option to make so she doesn't visit your ton?
 
Not that I've ever seen!
I don't really think you have that option. I have over 300 hours of play time and I've never seen an option for it :S
is there a specific reason you don't want her?
 
I don't like stuff involving magic, sorcery, occult, etc.. This includes fortune telling. I come from this as a religious viewpoint. As a Christian I have the opinion that it is wrong because I believe that's what the bible says. I'm not going to tell you what to do or say the everyone should do as I do, I Just like to cautious. Better safe than sorry.

I don't mean this to offend anyone. It is just my personal opinion.

I TOTALLY understand. My family is Jehovah's Witnesses, and while I have some different opinions, I also consider myself one. And we feel the same way about this kind of stuff.

My recommendation is to just not go around her when she comes to town, I dont know if you now or not, but you are in no way forced to go to her. She sets up her tent, and she'll be gone after one day.
But I understand if you're still uncomfortable. That's just all I know to tell you to do!
 
I agree with you on avoiding her, and I know you are in no way obligated to visit her, but i'm not sure my parents will like it/let me get it. Thanks for your help. :)
