Splatoon 2 Is it possible to get S or S+ rank at level 1-5 in Splatoon 2?

Today I saw a level 1 player with S+ rank. Some weeks ago, I saw a screenshot of a level 4 player with S rank. I'm wondering if all of this is legal and it's possible to get S or S+ rank between level 1-5 in Splatoon 2.

Actually, it isn't hacking according to what @TribstyAnn just told me :

"Actually you're seeing prestiged players. A recent update made it so that people could go past level 50 which used to be the max. Now you can get to level 99 and the start over from level 1. Userland hacking isn't a thing yet on Switch."

The way you can tell for sure is if they have a tiny little star above their level. If they didn't have the little start there is a possibility they are hackers, but Switch hacking isn't nearly that far along yet, as far as I know.

Are you already S+ ranked @Marc? That was super fast. I still can't get out of A ranks. But then again, I can get a single match without someone dc'ing either, whether me, a teammate, or an opponent.
