Is it worth it to buy Skyward Sword?

My friend loves it, but it looks too far from the regular games for me.
 
Yes, it truly is worth it. Skyward Sword was the first game I bought for my Wii, and I enjoyed every bit of it. The storyline is simply perfect, it features a ton of sidequests and it is really immersive. The controls are one of a kind. You will feel like Link himself as each swing of your Wiimote is matched with perfect accuracy on the screen. The graphics are great, as well.
 
I fully played the wind waker, twilight princess and I was about to wait for the zelda on wii u when I remembered that I was missing a zelda game on my wii. I started playing it, and to be honest I really recommend it, the graphics are awesome, the music is epic, the gameplay is fantastic and the best part of all, you get to play a long while before you end the game. That is the coolest part of all. To me, the game is worth!
 
I played through most of it, but didn't finish because like you said it is a little far from the source. I will admit it was a fun game but for me at least, it just wasn't as good as other zelda games. If your looking to be entertained then by all means play it, but if your looking for what in my opinion is the true Zelda experience then don't bother. Hope I helped.

You shuld play Skyward Sword. It is one of my favorite Zelda games because of almost everything. The only thing I do not like is the motion conntrols. It can be VERY annoying.
 
This game is great and has a unique art style. It's a blend of Twilight Princess and the Wind waker in terms of art style and it uses new concepts. If you also want to experience one of the greatest water temple in any Zelda game, this game is the one, the Ancient Cistern also holds an amazing boss.
 
The Legend of Zelda : Skyward Sword was surely a really unique and awesome Zelda game . It was a really fun game to play and had some really nice mechanics . The graphics were also very smooth so I'd say that this is a must have for any Zelda fan :p
 
I've played Skyward Sword and if you have the chance to get it, I definitely would not miss out.

The game has really nice graphics and I really love how the whole atmosphere in the game is. The wii-motion controls are really fun too cause some enemies require you to swing the remote in a certain place to kill them. The dungeons are really fun as well but I feel like it gets repetitive cause you keep visiting the same places. Overall, this game is really varied, and there are a decent amount of sidequests to keep a person busy. I would recommend it.

It's a good game, but there is way too much motion control for it to be worth buying.

I like Skyward Sword's mechanics more than the previous games, but I rather enjoyed the bird-eyed view more than the 3rd person view :p I guess all good games have to change views from time to time :p

The storyline, bosses, and puzzles is just as good as any other Zelda games-awesome. I highly recommend buying it, but if you find it to your disliking, then save your money :)

I GOT ONE WORD FOR THIS! YES! It was a very great game it was amazing and the motion controls doe! It is da bomb and it is purely the best motion game out there aand now we know the zelda franchise can be an epic place for motion controls! I definitely prefer you to get this game no matter what

I really don't know if this game is really worth it, but I would say "Yes, buy the game". Well, most Zelda games are actually very good. Also, I see many people talk about that game so much. Heck, even my friends who play Zelda began to recommend the game to me.

I would definitely say yes because for one I remember when it first came out for the wii when I went to get my copy I preordered and it took me almost 2 hours to get mine and after that I haven't seen it much on shelves. And it's controls are very fun to me because it's like you are actually using links sword and I'm just gonna say it I'm not crazy about Zelda games but I love this one it is by far my favorite Zelda game except for hurdle warriors! And the story and more is very unique I would buy it and wii motion plus or your just buying a CD and case.
