I've seen Animal Crossing ads on TV and YouTube, and watched a couple videos about it, but is Animal Crossing really worth it? I don't want to spend my Nintendo eShop money on a game that wasn't worth it. That's like getting high on your own supply.

Do you mean ACNL? Those games are highly worth it! They're very fun and provide you with lots of things to do every single day. I know there are lots of members here that play the games, and they really love them! (Except for @Spinnerweb ) Though, if you mean HHD, that'd be a completely different story. >.<)/

I personally love ACNL. I've had New Leaf for three years now, give or take a few months, and I still love it. I'll fall out of love and set it aside for a while, but I always come back to it. In my opinion it's worth every penny, if this is your kind of game. It's a laid back simulation game, there's never anything you have to do. The game is what you make of it. If you're after a story heavy game, this isn't it.

I love collecting things and designing my town. I love designing the rooms in my house with different furniture pieces. I like doing little favours for my villagers and just watching them interact. I also love visiting other towns and seeing what they've done and trading with them. I find it to be a game that will always have something for me to do, because it never really ends.

However! I would personally hold off on the game, if you're on the fence. It's joining Nintendo Selects on August 26th I believe, so if you're in the U.S. it'll only be $20 then. ^^

I kinda didn't like it at first but I grew to love it. It was definitely worth it because I have loads of hours of gameplay towards it. It's the type of game that you can just pick up and play whenever. It's fun to experiment with your house town and the characters. If you like taking things at your own pace then I'd get it. I love playing a little before I sleep as it is so relaxing to play.

I got New Leaf. Not really my type of game for the most part, but I like it still pretty good.

I would say it is worth playing, New Leaf especially. New Leaf is the newest main series Animal Crossing game. Some say that it is the best Animal Crossing so far. I really enjoy doing my daily things in it. You're going to enjoy it.

New Leaf for me is the best AC game. A close second is "Lets go to the city" (Called something else outside Europe) for the Wii. If you like these kind of games then get it! It's totally worth getting it for sure! ACNL is one of my most played games and I've sunk hours upon hours onto it and only got bored twice with it and that's only when I've done everything I possibly can do so I just restart the town with a new layout and all :p

If you like life simulators at all you'd love this game.
There's so much to do and now your the mayor!
In my opinion it's worth way better then Tomodachi Life
And there's multiplayer features so..
Whatevs But you have to get it >-<

New Leaf is a great game, especially because of the fact that you are the mayor. This means a lot. You can set up Public Works Projects to make your town look pretty! They have all the features that were there in previous games, plus a lot more! You should get it, you'll love it and won't regret it!

If you are referring to New Leaf: If you like to manage things, then this is the game for you. Interacting with your citizens, beautifying your town, fishing, gardening, and a lot of other things. You can also share your town with your friends or with strangers across the globe. Endless possibilities. However, it does get repetitive if you don't try to mix things up.

If you are referring to Happy Home Designer: If you like to design virtual houses and buildings, then this game is for you. The only downside is that the game feels short.

If you're a fan of the series, it's fun no matter what you play

While the Animal Crossing series isn't my favorite Nintendo series, it is pretty high up the list. The game just has such a relaxing and charming atmosphere (except for the occasionally quirky moment), and the character interactions are unique and never fail to be entertaining. I guess what I'm saying is that almost anyone can enjoy it.
