Is Mario Kart 8 worth the cost?

The 3ds has overtaken all handheld systems such as the psp and ps vita. As more games come out for the 3ds family system and wii u i noticed the prices for games go up. The mariocart seres have been sold or many years. I did not notice that much of a difference between mariocart8 and 7. In 7 the game introduced costomised carts and the glider as well as new maps and quality. But when i look at8 alli see is a different system [wii u] and new characters and maps. I think that with christmas and all that buy your kids mario cart 7 dont waste money on an extra system. Also sense mariocart7 is older it has a lower price than 8. So i beileve you should either stick with 7 or only buy that.

There is a bit of a difference between Mario Kart 7 and 8. Mario Kart 8 has the 200 CC DLC, Bikes and of course, a lot better graphics that make the game so much better. Even the tracks that are there are a lot better than those in 7, and a whole lot of characters and vehicles. I feel MK8 is really good if you have a Wii U and are looking to play a good game on it.

As Charizard said though, I tried both games as well and the feeling is different in MK8 and I think it's worth it, yet alone for the DLCs. Also, it's easier to play on the gamepad than on the 3DS, my hands tend to have crmaps when I play for a while on 3DS, while I can play longer on Wii U.

Just for comfort and DLC, it's totally worth it!

Personally I would rather play on consoles because they have multiple choices when it comes to controllers. I love the new items and the DlLC is really awesome. Who would have thought Link would be in a Mario game? So yea I think it's worth it

Yes mario kart 8 is worth the money. Mk7 is on its deathbed. Mk8 has dlc, more tracks, kart combos, and zero gavity . You won't regret it.

I didn't play Mario Kart 8, but I know there are DLC only for the Wii U for now, with the 200CC DLC, and they have added bikes and other great things with the great graphics of the Wii U. I am sure Mario Kart 8 worth the money.

I was planning to get the game today and I decided that I would wait until the next new Mario kart game comes out. Oh yes it is worth it. The online has improved since mario kart wii and the graphics and how you played in has improved a lot. I recommend you to see a youtube video about it or gather information about it. In my personal opinion is one of my favourite mario games as well.

mario kart 8 is complete trash dont buy it. i hate how people say how good the graphics are, graphics dont make the game golden.

Mario Kart 8 is good to get. Love the graphics Nintendo put in this game. Although the one thing that bothers me is when sometimes I try to join my friends I get a communication error until I have to do a internet connection. Sometimes when I do the internet connection it happens again and I get frustrated. But I do like the fact Nintendo put some new characters in Mario Kart 8 and DLC courses.

Yes, it is worth the cost and then some! This is practically the peak of Mario Kart perfection, whereas Mario Kart 7 is just ok. The graphics are unlike any other Mario Kart game, as is the music as well as the courses. The new anti-gravity feature has been retrofitted onto many of the old tracks as well, making them feel all new and not just like a ported version of the old track. This game is truly with every penny!
