I was wondering if I should get Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire cuz mostly I wanted to know if the remakes are good

There is another thread with the same topic so you could look there for some opinions :

In general , Pokemon ORAS is definitely a good game to get since there are more features and stuff like the Move Tutors and the Mega Evolutions that you can't get in Pokemon X/Y . It also has a good nostalgic feel if you played the older version . Regardless if you played the old games or not this game is good to get :)

Oh ok☺

It really boils down to if you really want to get it. I got it the day it was released from eshop because I loved the originals and the 3D graphics and new concepts such as mega evolution and free flying on mega lati@s is cool. Mix it up with nostalgia and sense of adventure and you're bound to have a good time!

Awesome! Now I just going to see of I get both or one:)

I only got Alpha Sapphire because I played Sapphire more than Ruby and I thought Primal Kyogre was cool:)

They are definitely worth it. They are great remakes, I have played pokemon emerald before and I like the Idea of playing one of the main games. I got Omega Ruby, but in the end got both of the legendaries through trading.

You should look at what bother versions have to offer, see what pokemon in what game you like better, maybe you like the story more in one than in the other. Just look around the internet and pick the one that suits you.

It really depends on how you want to play the games. If you only like the competitive aspect of Pokemon, I would not recommend it and I would recommend sticking with XY. However, if you like In-Game stuff or the new features like the Contests, then I would recommend getting the game as it would have some new content for you.

Actually, even though I do agree with Acemaster that ORAS does not offer much more in terms of competitive battling, it does open up access to rare move tutor moves that normally cannot be taught to Pokemon in XY, such as Knock Off on a variety of Pokemon, Stealth Rock and the Elemental Punches (Ice Punch, Fire Punch, etc.). Since I don't have ORAS, I have had to trouble others to teach my Pokemon Move Tutor moves by trading over to them... >.>

ORAS also brings more Mega Evolutions to the table, such as Mega Altaria, Salamence, Metagross, Slowbro, and many more. However, if you have XY, ORAS isn't a huge competitive upgrade, as long as you are willing to miss out on certain Megas and also to hassle other ORAS owners for Move Tutor moves.

Yes, this is very true also, but I wouldn't get a game just for some new Mega Evolutions and tutor moves. I would rather just trade my Pokemon to other people to teach them to my Pokemon. Just my opinion though. :)

And I do have ORAS just for the In-Game stuff, I hate missing Pokemon games...

You know, why was their a Mega Slowbro? Isn't their a, you know, a SLOWKING!? Because their was a Slowking if I remember correctly. But oh well, they do have different stats, but same stat totals. So, we can have Mega Slowking, right? Hopefully.

Well, I think they seem nice. If you hunger for more Pokemon games you should really try them.
If you think they might be boring since you've played them before, that's wrong!
You should really try it, the remakes are great. Well, in my opinion  - Blubbles :cat:
