it probably hardly needs to be said but super expert on the first mario maker was flooded with troll levels and near impossible kaizo levels, so much to the point where it was pretty much impossible to get a normal hard level. has this plague returned in mario maker 2's super expert mode for endless challenge? i saw a bit of super expert a while back and the levels i watched were hard but not guessing game or borderline impossible 'hard' like in the first mario maker. but problem is it was too soon to accurately predict if the insanity would make a comeback in the switch game at the time. i may go online and attempt super expert to see if the mario maker 1 madness has returned in mario maker 2 later today if i get a decent chance but has it returned, lightened up, or gotten even worse due to new course parts and upgraded mechanics from anyone else's observation/ experience?

i was never able to finish a super expert run in the first game because of the heaps of insanity that were near impossible to beat and avoid =/

I mean, isn't that the point? But I do think it's a bit unfair though. One impossible level after the other. That's just.... IMPOSSIBLE!! I'd rather play endless easy lololololol. But if i'm looking for a challenge i just go on Normal or Expert mode. The levels are a bit more balanced, and fun(?) rather than straight up impossible. The Endless Challenge could've been more fun, if people just made levels with actually good level design, but that's not the point of Super Mario Maker hahahaha. And as it turns out, letting anyone and everyone create levels can lead to disastrous results.

yeah same. i dont go past expert at all because we either get ridiculous kaizo levels (i cant do kaizo) or massive/ cluttery troll levels which are the luck of the draw altogether. expert seemed more balanced in both games and so did normal, any trolls were more subtle (which i can tolerate as long as nintendo doesnt decide to pull troll levels too repeatedly on me) and just more normal hard levels instead of a bunch of stuff thats just downright near impossible.

and yes, that pretty much is what both mario maker games easily provoked, anything from forced guessing games as i like to call it to hording (this is pretty annoying tbh ;-; ) and then just down to impossible kaizo nonsense (this one was worse in mario maker 1... so far. theyre still pretty mean now though =/ ). cant say i wouldnt have expected all kinds of messy especially on the 'super expert' aka super luck difficulty at the same time even though these are cheap tactics to boost the death count. still a fun and great game for all skill levels though for sure

According to the streamers I watch, Super Expert is a lot higher quality, thanks to the "Boo" (dislike) feature.

but what does this do? i imagine people will just reupload if the level is erased from dislikes count since people love to troll in this game. besides giving it bad ratings if enough people dislike i imagine it still has the same random chances of showing up as any other level does
