Is the Switch worth it?

I am thinking about getting it... I work at Best Buy and my associates/coworkers are telling me that I should wait until more games come out.

It would really be fun to play with Twitch streamers and other people online with Mario Kart 8. I haven't played Mario Kart since the original Wii and while I still have the Wii console I never play it on there because I hate those controllers.

I miss playing it though it was fun!

I don't want to buy the Switch for just one game though. What do you guys think?
 
Depends what games you want for it. Personally there are already quite a few games I want, but it might be different for you. MK8, Zelda BotW, Snipperclips, just to name a few, and a TON more that are coming out that I want. If you know that you are going to get one sometime in the future then why wait? There's nothing you'll gain by waiting, if you know there are more games to be released that you want.

That's what I was thinking as well. Why wait?
 
The only reason to wait is there aren't enough games announced to justify you buying it. But that would probably mean you would never get it anyways.

There could be better deals (bundles, special editions, etc) when more games are available for the console~

If I were you I would wait till holiday season and get a bundle as it will be cheaper and there will much more games by then

I think it is just a good time to upgrade your gaming devices and the nintendo switch is just about a good option (or the best) since you said you like mario kart. I own it and even though I don´t have many games yet, I think the console offers really good games already! The legend of zelda is a terrific game which will indulge you for hours, then if you are more of a party gamer, you should definitely get mario kart deluxe. There is the definite edition of the game and It is WORTH the money, countless hours of gameplay and playing with Friends or even the kids is great fun!

Was it worth it? Yes. The only reason why I don't play it more is because I don't have very many games for it. If I had more games I would play the console more. It is awesome, graphics are perfect for Mario Kart and any other Nintendo game.

If I were to recommend a game shovel knight (especially the Spector of Torment DLC) I got recently and is now my favorite 2d platformer

While it may be a little bit lacking in the games department right now, I can say that the Switch is quickly making things up for its small launch library with an excellent series of releases throughout the year. The console is priced extremely well compared to the competition, and it does include quite a few excellent titles in its library at the moment. If any of these interest you, consider picking one up. If not, wait until the holiday season, where there will be quite a bit more to choose form game-wise (as well as new Zelda DLC).
