So, I just wanna know if there's a way to play online games on the 3DS anywhere with broadband wifi like an at&t smartphone bundle because I will travel and I will buy Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate for the trip.

Yes. I have used my phone's hotspot and it worked! I played an online game and wonder traded a lot bunch on Pokemon OR! It worked perfectly, just 1 second slower than normal. You have to have data though, not just being able to call on your phone

Yep it can worked as Chopper said Only thing is that depending on the Wi-fi and the game your playing , it may vary in many different experiences so certain games may not work as fast or properly , but asides from that , it can work from what I've seen so far .
