This guide sounds like a script for a reason, but I figured I'd post it as text before I upload the video guide.
Hello everybody, today I'm going to show you have to grind money, trophies, equipment, custom character moves, headgear, and outfits in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. For this tutorial, I will be using 8 amiibo as it results in the most items gained.
Step 1: Register your amiibo.
Like I said, I'll be using 8 amiibo for this tutorial, however you can use anywhere from 2-8 amiibo. From the menu screen, go to Games & More and then select "amiibo". Place the amiibo of your choice on the NFC reader on the Wii U GamePad then go through the setup process. Feeding your amiibo equipment and changing its special moves isn't required for this. After your done configuring it, press OK and save your newly registered amiibo. Repeat this process for however many amiibo you're using.
Step 2: Set up the game
Backtrack two screens after registering your amiibo and click on Smash. From here click 8-Player Smash if you're using more than 4 amiibo, but if you're using 4 or less just go to regular Smash. Move the cursor to the top of the screen and click on Time. You'll want to change the rules to the following:
Rules: Stock (Timed is also useable however it isn't as effective. IF you use it, make sure not do to endless time as it won't register any of the progress your amiibo make)
Stock: 99
Custom Fighters: On/Off (Doesn't matter)
Handicap: Off
Launch Rate: 2.0x
Stage Choice: Choose
Once all that is set, click on Item Switch. From here, make it so that items will appear frequently by selecting the High option. Then, turn on the following items:
Blast Box
Smart Bomb
X Bomb
Golden Hammer
Due to the high launch rate, when your amiibo encounter these items it will almost guarantee a death, which is good. Backout from that and add all of your amiibo once again via the NFC reader on the GamePad. If you're using 8 amiibo, click on "Player 1" to cancel yourself out, then click "CPU 1" to once again cancel it out. Add all of your amiibo.
After that, click start(+) to begin the fight. I prefer to pick smaller stages or final destation versions of stages for this because it usually goes faster, but it's really just personal preference.
Step 3: Wait for your amiibo to finish
I've done this several times and it usually takes them anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half. Leave your Wii U on and go do something else while they battle; I like playing other games while they fight.
Step 4: Reap the benefits
This part takes a while just due to the sheer amount of amiibo data saving that happens, so bare with me here. From the character select screen, hold the B button to go back. You'll then be prompted to save your amiibo once again by placing them on the NFC reader on the GamePad. Do so then return to the amiibo section under Games & More. Scan your amiibo once more and you'll receive your gifts from them. After collecting them, back out and once again save your amiibo. Then you're done!
