I finally caved and decided to get a 3DS. I love it so far and I only have Shin Megami Tensei IV. I want a game that is a little more lighthearted and there really is nothing more lighthearted than a Mario game! What would be the best game that would have the most replay value and be a good pass time?

I'd reccomond these to start off:
  • Super Mario 3D Land
  • Mario Kart 7
Both of these are really fun games and good to play!
Also Maybe you can do these:
  • Paper Mario Sticker Star
  • Mario Tennis Open
  • Mario and Luigi Dream Team
  • Mario Golf for 3DS (Don't know what goes after Mario Golf)

So a 3DS Mario game with a lot of replay value is what you want? :pompus:
That role definetly goes for a good ol' Mario Kart game, and since it's for 3DS,I'm going to suggest Mario Kart 7,since it's really Mario Kart as you know it for its chaotic fun,as well as some new stuff added in the mix.
Super Mario 3D Land will also so serve the job quite well, but if you're looking for a game that can last for a while,go for Mario Kart 7 first.
New Super Mario Bros. 2,Mario Golf World Tour(that's how it is called,@anthony91728595 ) and Mario & Luigi Dream Team Bros. are also worth it if you're considering them to play in the future.

I would go with Mario 3D Land and/or Mario & Luigi Dream Team Bros. Apparently paper mario on 3DS is terrible and so are the tennis games. Mario 3D Land is like a mix between 2D and 3D Mario game. It has things like flagpoles from 2D Marios and Levels instead of more open areas in Mario 64. But it has 3Dness too. And Mario & Luigi Dream Team is probably the best Mario Game on 3DS and a great RPG.

I got about a little over 200 hours in play time in MK7 so if that helps you any. Most of the other games besides the Mario Puzzles and Dragons Bundle have already been mentioned and that's an excellent deal especially if you are into puzzle games because you get a lot of content for a cheaper price than a regular 3DS game.

You should go for Mario Kart 7 since it has sold pretty well. It tries to bring us back to Mario Kart DS, and it some what succeeds. The idea to customize your own kart and race online (somewhat) is great. Although, they did sort of screw it up with the drifting mechanic. It feels off.
