ciao
Towns Folk
With the new weakness policy and his old trusty multi scale, dragonite is more useful that ever in OU! However with competition with garchomp who has dropped to OU and can deal with fairies better, who will reign supreme?

Dragonite@Weakness Policy
252 Atk 252 spd 4HP
Dragon Dance
Dragon Claw
Fire punch/Extreme Speed
Earthquake

With the use of weakness policy dnites multi scale makes excellent use of this set. You can't really afford to run outrage due to fairies, you don't want to be locked into a move which the opposing pokemon is immune to,Fire punch deals with ferrothorn which walls dnite hard without it,espeed gives dnite priority. Eq is an all around good move and Dragon dance is for the buffs.

Dragonite@lum berry
252 atk 252 spd 4 def
Dragon dance
Outrage
Extreme speed
Earthquake

Traditional lum berry set. 'Nuff said

How will dnite do this gen?Discuss

I believe that Dragonite got nerfed this gen cause of fairys but buffed because of weakness policy. Since Dnite is my favorite pokemon I have 3 competitive ones and in most battles Dragonite is my clutch. With the addition of fairies that just gives Dragonite another type that can give it the weakness policy boost and with +2 atk Dragonite will mostly likely 2 hit KO fairy types.

Yes,earthquake will help a lot and so will fire punch. Fire punch lets it hit togekiss Hard if it isn't running bold.

Dnite, while not being at the top of my 'pokemon favorites' list will always be remembered as a tough pokemon. With the addition of fire punch, they can bully big, bulky grass types like Mega Venesaur and technician Breloom.

Also, Drago this was a fantastic review on a powerful pokemon! I hope you make a Dragonite team to showcase your movesets!

I use the same set you listed, except I replaced Dragon Claw with Outrage. Even though you are screwed if a fairy-type switches into you, I think that Fairy types are uncommon. You will plow through remaining Pokemon like a Steamroller after a single Dragon Dance.

Wynaut give it Roost if it's bulky? You already have Multiscale and you can activate a Weakness Policy to revenge kill Pokes or you can try afflicting status beforehand or with Dragonite to be super annoying. Then use whatever move of your choice to your pleasure. EQ most likely to take care of Aegislash and friends. He has so much defensive potential.
