Having trouble landing Little Mac's KO Punch? Well here's a trick for you to try out! If you have your KO Punch ready, wait for your opponent to attack you while you have your shield up or spot dodge to avoid their grab. Once you do that, hit them with Down tilt about 2 or 3 times, it will lock them in place. Because they are locked in place, it gives you the perfect opportunity to get them with a KO Punch, and taking their stock. Also although this may seem unnecessary you should try to see if the opponent will be KO'd by the punch (high enough percentage). Here's a video that shows the least percentage each character must be at to be KO'd by Little Mac' KO Punch:
Hope this was a helpful little top for you Little Mac players :)

Forgot to add on: The start of the down tilt lock actually depends on when you find the opportunity to punish your opponent's misses or cooldown frames, such as landing lag or missed tech. This trick doesn't require you to be frame perfect, but it would help if you timed the down tilts properly, and make sure down tilt doesn't knock them back too far for KO Punch.

Hmm i tried this and it REALLY worked people here are just nice and give me guides that i need or wut? this is a good strategy and it worked for me right now but maybe someone will make something to prevent it :0 well we will just have to make another strategy for it

I did this before and this was quite useful. Using down tilt on the enemy and then ending it with the KO punch is worth it. But did you know that it can do more than just kill? Apparently if you use it in smash run at the place where are those heater things, his KO uppercut can alter time and make it so that way one of the heaters won't be synced with the rest of them. Its really weird but a cool glitch I found.
